PVP - Jab Javazon

Anybody here ever try a pure Jab melee PVP zon? I was thinking about using 160/60 armor, shield, with a 120/45 helm. Also using eth Titan's, ias gloves, Dungo's belt probably. Skills would be Dodge, Jab, Critical Strike. Any other ideas? Any possibly of this build standing up to Zealots and Conc Barbs? Lemme know if you have any suggestions or expert ideas, lemme know.

it won't stand up without maxed penetrate and some serious attack rating.

u should prolly stack as much OW, deadly/critical strike, and CB

i think a 2x 40/15 COA would hold up better in melee than a 120-45. or u might wanna try cham/40 15 so u can use duel angelic rings or something. shako is also an option
or a chamed ss instead.

i dunno the breakpoints for jab but if u can get 4 frame without a 160-60, it might be better cause then u can use COH or Enigma if ur gonna chase down teleporters.

vs melee angelic is a must, but otherwise u could prolly put on a maras or something to get res vs casters.

ur build will be something like this:
max jab
max penetrate
max critical strike or till returns diminish ~60%ish
put rest into d/a/e till returns dimish go for around 50/60/50

now with the remaining points u could put it into valk or leave it at 1. if u leave it at one u coudl put rest into GA and have a WF on switch. just make sure u get an 8 frame GA since ur dmg will prolly be less than pure bowazons.

stat wise:
strength : enough for gear
dex: enough for max block
vit: everything else
energy: none


thats all i can think of. i really have no idea if this will be able to be on par with other melee builds, especially in pubby games.

also: if pubby u prolly need dracs on to get that CTC life tap and the OW is nice too. and use goreriders too.

its just me, but even thought the ed would be nice and the IAS, i wouldnt use 160-60 in a duel.... not evnough defese.. for me anyway. just me but it would discourage me more to use it if i was a melee zon... unless ur block is maxxed like luis said...

Amazon gets no %ed bonusses so you shouldn't bother looking into defense at all. 75 block, 50 DR and 60+% passives should be a decent protection too.

You need 160/60 armour. Getting armour of the whale would be even better too. Youll need a SS definately.
They can stand up against zealots and conc barbs quite well. Mine is lvl 91 and i often get asked why they cant hit me very often and how high my def is. When i reply: "My def is only 1270" they usually dont believe me. I made a guide for a javazon (non-charged strike). Ill post it if youd like, if youd rather not wait you can just look at my past posts. go to the first few posts i ever made and youll find it.

Defense doesnt matter at all for a zon. Thats why they have the passive skills. The most def ive ever seen a zon have was 8000, and that was with a barbs shout. 8000 def is nothing. The thing alot of new zon players dont realize is that D/E/A works against everything. Yes, EVERYTHING. Say you have 500 def and a Barb your dueling has 100,000 attack rating, he'll have a hard time hitting you if you maxed out dodge and have 75% block. :clap:
