Beserker Barb

hi, i play on HCLE and a 412 eth botd zerker has reccently come into my possesion and i would really like to make a serious dueler out of it. im trying to go for the 1 hit kill because everyone is a pansy and uses chicken in hc. so would a fully synergized zerk be able to accomplish this? ive never really played barbs before so what kind of a gear should a character like this wear?

Yes, you probably could get a 1 hit kill with zerk.

Since tou have such a nice BotD I am assuming that you have a bit of wealth so here is what you could use:

Arreats
Enigma for the nice r/w
Arachs could be nice to give you another skill

Not sure what else you could use, barbs aren't really my thing... neither is hld for that matter :lol:

Enigma for sure, in HC you're going to need all the life you can get, use the extra points left over from str and dump it all into vita (oh wait, you prolly know that, this is hc.)

but anyway enigma for sure, arreats is a good choice, i'd for for an ss/verdungos for full dr, you're going to need to be able to take a hit or two incase somebody can hit you before you hit them, afterall, you'll get hit awfully easily with no def, so just enough dex for max blocking, cram your inv with just enough str charms to use enigma and full up the rest with vita charms (or you should probably use a normal armour for enigma since def isn't going to be an issue for you anyway being a zerker. As for boots, im not sure if the CB on gores works for zerk or not, if not then try using war travs for that extra bit of damage. im not sure about rings but BK rings always work nicely on barbs. maras or highlords if CB does work with zerk.

I don't think i wrote a whole equipment setup for a barb but i hope i could help, if you're still stuck you could probably try looking for a guide in the barb forum.

For HC, a Zerk barb is the worst idea in the world since your defense drops to 0...

You'll need perfect block rate, and probably use a Shael rune in your SS for faster blocking. But, you could always go the safe way which makes your defense HIGHER, concentrate.

With concentrate you will have more skill points for BO/shout/iron skin since you wont need to synergise as much.

Gear:

Helm : Arreats or Halaberd's Reign

armor: Enigma, but if you can't get full res then COH

gloves: draculs, steelrends, crafted are all good

boots: gores, sandstorm trek

belt: verdungo's, tgods

rings: raven / BK ring or if you need the AR angelics

amulet: highlords / angelic

lots of life charms, fine small charms of vita, Warcry GC's, Gheed's and Anni help alot too

Tele zerk barbs can be really good. All you need is a spiderweb sash for a bit of fcr and maybe a beast for alot of extra dmg, then boom...1 hit kill on almost any caster.
