Well, nearly all the people that I've talked to say that they miss the old Palapk, Drupk, etc. games. After trying (unscuccessfully) to create a druid only dueling league/game, I've thought it might be nice to start up a melee only dueling game. This is a joint idea that me and Aok_TekmInIbI thought of, as an alternative to all the bm games out there. The rules that we have so far proposed are:
Rules
-No Lifetap, Amp, Lower Resist, etc. % chance to cast items.
-No Lifetap, Amp, Lower Resist, etc. charges.
-No use of Exile
-No more then 1 absorb or +max res item per element on at a time *,**
-No use of CtA
-No use of Oak sage from HotO
-No use of Doom
-No use of HoW from Wisp projector
-No Enchant from Demon Limb ***
-No overly defenisive play ****
-No use of poison damage charms
-No use of Necromancer Summons (sorry no commandos ^^)
*Gaurdian Angel counts as all 3 elements, Rising Sun is banned.
**Two Raven Frosts ARE allowed,
***This is a rule niether me nor Tek could decide upon. If the majority of people wish to allow this, then it will be changed...but I do not think its necessary and all it would accompish is forcing everyone to have one.
****This could qualify as running away in order to replenish life, etc.
What qualifies as melee?
After much thought, we think that anything that requires you to be beside your opponent in order to hit them qualifies as melee. HOWEVER, the following skills are not allowed:
-Whirlwind
-Smite
-Rabies
-Charged Strike
As you can see, the rules are pretty simple, and rather similiar to the rules upheld in temple (but more melee oriented).
The proposed game will be
CHmelee / duel
Although this is up for change if people find it unfit.
That pretty much covers everything. Were hoping to find a way to keep this game up at all times, if anyone would like to help us with this it would be much appreciated. This should be up by the end of this week, although we don't expect it to have much interest at the start.
