PvP Zon That Actually Works

Tired of getting killed by annoying fireball/blizz/or other sorcerers? I've come up with a Zon that can take the damage and dish it out too. This Zon is used for killing Barbs/Sorcs/Hammerdin Pallys and other annoying cheap classes. A variant of the current class known as "Bowazon" I've created a Bulletzon(idiotic name plz ignore). Using damage reduction with ias this Zon can do well over 2000 per arrow and still be shooting out Guided like bullets. This zon's kind of gear must be exact/better so don't be trying to go cheap on your gear...( you want revenge on those hammerdins dont you?)The gear required is as follows.


Weapon:Hand Of Justice Matriarchal Bow (Sur Cham Amn Lo) Sur + Lo Very rare. So far its a super fast bow with good damage...better than the cruel matriarchal bows.

Armor: Cham Shaftstop. Cham makes it so you cannot be frozen...very useful especially if you don't want one of your ring slots taken up by a Raven Frost.
(Dmg Reduction 30%)

Helm: 40/15 Gaze: Ignore what I just said about ias but the ehanced damage makes it easier to take out tougher barbs with a ton of hitpoints. And the 15 ias just makes you even faster.
(Dmg Reduction 16-25%)

Belt: String of Ears: Since the 1.10 patch life leech in duels have become pointless...but still useful against monsters...the string of ears gives more damage reduction.
(Dmg Reduction About 15%)

Boots: Goreriders: The open wounds + crushing blow can be used to deal out some serious damage especially against those teleporting sorcs...

Gloves: Dracuals Grasp: Yes ,Dracs is now worth a Wf ( on west neways) but its worth it. The openwounds + lifetap are marvelous. And the rest of the abilities makes it very worth getting.

Rings: The 2 rings you'll need are Carrion Wind ( Try to go for one with at least 8 Life Leech) and Raven Spiral( old dupe from classic d2). The leech + defense against missles in Carrion + the ar bonus along with Dual leech in raven spiral. Since you have cham shaft...raven frost is not needed.

Amulet: Cats Eye: 30% faster run/walk along with Ias and defense against missles... what more could you want?
So far we have lots of leech + bout 70% damage reduction...

Now If You Can somehow scrap together all those items...Hoj is gonna be very hard to get...especially in bow form...if you are having difficulty i suggest collecting the runes and bow yourself.

Strength: Not very important since it does not add to damage...Around 140...

Dexterity: The skill you need the most... at least 220...

Vitality: Important...so around 100.

Here are the following lists of skills you'd need.

Guided Arrow ( Max)
Critical Strike( 12)
Dodge/Evade/Avoid(10)the other one was... about 10 in each but will not waste too much.
Penetrate: Put all your extra skill points in here.

There...once your are finished and somehow managed to make this rediculously hard character...you are ready for dueling. Just stand out side hold down shift and click away. The guided will do well... and people will underestimate your speed...due to the fact that your bow isn't a 40/15 Windforce. I've tested this and about ever 1 arrow wf does hoj bow does 3. So the ratio is like this 3:1. I think that makes up for the lost damage. Try to get some psn charms also as they can be useful to take down tougher characters.

The only major flaw of this character is that it cannot beat the WW sin. The fast block and speed of it is just too much. This bowazon can usually take down some javazons if you get in a few decent hits...but Ww sins are too fast + too much poison damage. i dun see how this build will work that much better than the common built bowazon.
this build has excessive dr and leech.
i dont see how this build is ne better at sorcs when u will have about the same resist as the norm bowazon.

and with the mentioned gear, wont u still shoot 8 frame GA?

i have to disagree too.

id go with a xxED/30 ias Giant skull for the Str and knockback
Duress as armor or xxED/60 ias armor (dont know what matron bow breakpoints are)
Verdungo's instead of String (dont need leech you said it yourself)
Rings: I'd slap on Raven + Whisp but thats my opinion.

As for skillpoints i would put 20 guided, 20 critical and rest into the dodge skills to reach 60%. You dont need % damage reduction since you will be fightning necros and hammerdings mostly. Melee chars need to get close but the knockback from Giant skull will prevent that.

Even if you did cast life tap on the sorc or necro, you still wouldnt be a match for a high damage fireball.

The defense against missles doesnt work against magic attacks because magic doesnt need ar to hit.Therefore that mod is worthless against casters.

DR is capped at 50%. Sorry.



Strength: Not very important since it does not add to damage...Around 140...

Shouldnt this be 100 dex and 220 vit? Though, dex does boost bowazons damage....hell, even with 2000 life, if you only have 75% fire res your still dead in 1-2 fireballs. Necro and Pally cant be resisted either.

Any decent javazon will have NO problem beating this build. And non-decent zons shouldnt duel anyways since they wont have the right gear to duel, so that makes them exempt.

All this being said, if you going to duel a fire sorc, youd need 95% res and absorb. And not only 95% res, but youll aso have to stack even more fire resist items as well since most sorcs use fire facets now and will lower your resists.

Most of these have been said already but...
50% DR is the cap.
Drop the string and use either verd's or razortail
Duped ring. Hey, toss on a white ring and wiz ring while you are at it! Dupes suck, and this ring is STILL not even the best choice, LL is useless, remember? Why AR when you have guided arrow AND penetrate?

Use a ravenfrost over that ring IMO. Wisp is not worth it, lightning damage wont be your main problem (charged strike will kill you whether you have one wisp on or not) and that frees up the "cham" rune in your armor or helm, and it gives you up to 20 dex. 20 dex is VERY nice on a bowazon.
Drop the shaftstop too, go with life/ed/ias armor ideally.

Basically, a bowazon is NOT a tanking character, you can hypothetically make a mediocre tank with one, but that involves pumping passives and losing a LOT of damage etc etc. I say get a good amount of r/w, and forget much DR, you should not be getting hit in the first place, so dont plan your build to try and take them.

2k is not enough damage.

Your resists will suck, which means you are FAR from a tanking bowazon.
I think the problem here is not that your idea sucks so badly, its that you are trying to do too much with one build. A bowazon basically CANNOT be built to tank all elemental and physical damage, and then still kill things. Doesnt work. You could make one for, say, killing fire sorcs, or killing cold sorcs, or hammerdins, but you cant do a build to tank all other builds, espically (sp)an amazon.
If you want to beat melee characters, i would reccoment against a bowazon... maybe a charged striker.

Anyways, someone else already said it. 2000 damage is way too low. If you want to make a good bowazon, then youll have to push near 4000 damage physical, without critical strike. Shaft zons dont do that well in duels anymore, especially casters. DR doesnt work vs magic.

This is why it "works". Once everyone need to get their bodies, however that should happen, of course 2k/misplaced skillpoints/crappy gear will work.

Lol, my zon does 5.2k at 8fpa, and has 2.8k life. The only item we have in common is a ravenfrost!!!

I wanted to point out the idiocracy that is calling builds "cheap." You realize you listed Sorcs, Barbs, Pallies (why you didnt stopped there and didnt list Druids, Necros and Assassins is beyond me) as cheap? What do you consider NOT cheap? A lvl 9 that doesnt run? Im so sick of people tossing around the term "cheap" builds....NO BUILD IS CHEAP. EVERYONE CAN BE BEATEN, JUST LEARN HOW TO DO IT!!!

HAH! I know what your talking about! Especially vs pallies. Most pallies will run right up to a zon straight on and eat a face full of arrows. Then complain that the zon is too tuff and must hack or something rediculous like that. What they dont realize is that pallies have this special skill called CHARGE thats faster than guided arrow. They only need to learn how to use it.

U need to test this out before u post it up. If someone gonna make a guide then first test ur build if u messed up then remake. Some chars are just overpowered in the patch not cheap. PLz man test yo guide then post it up just don't get some crazy nutty idea in ur head and say it's the best guide in the world. I fought a zon like this before and my nerco ( didn't have teleport ) beat her and tho I don't use him anymore cuz he got boring. I have to say tho using fire damage against chars can make u do more damage if they have bad fire resist.




I also agree that when people get killed in duels they say ur hacked or w/e is just stupid

Blizzard sorc? a moderately built lvl 30 ice-blast sorc could 1-hit KO this build due to it's low life.

30% faster cast rate
30% faster hit recovery
and around the same defense as a shako.

seems good for just about any character.
