Is there an actual teslafroster(holy freeze and holy shock) guide available somewhere? I've looked and can't seem to find anything about them really. If not, anyone who knows something about them, could you give me answers to questions such as:
1. What is my skill placement to get the most effective build for untweaked hardcore?
2. What is a good merc to use?
3. What is some decent gear but not too hard to get for this build? Keep in mind I play untweaked :uhhuh:
Also any strategy that could help out to stay alive in HC with this build.

Thanks

For untweaked, I would suggest: 20 pts in HS, RL, HF, RC, as many points in Holy Shock to get max block, and rest in Zeal (for AR). Defiance merc would be best. Cheap gear: G. Face, Nords, Demon Limb, Gore Riders, Duress, String. Other mods to look for on gear: ll, itd, ias. Get at least 1K life when entering hell difficulty. Any phase blade found should be cubed to 3 socks for making Crescent Moon.

Strategy: activate HF to slow down monsters, swap to HS, then HF again, rinse, repeat. For LI monsters, use HF aura only. Vice versa for CI monsters. Keep cold charms in your inventory. It adds to freezing time (although capped in hell) if you're using Nords. AR charms should also be kept if necessary. Most of the time, you can tank packs, if too many, try to take out monsters separately. Try to kill a boss first with Charge (with annoying freeze bug). You"ll get problems in Act4 and latter acts of hell Act5. Use wand with high elem. dmg, and take off weapon from merc when dealing with Oblivion Mages. Hell WSK lvls are very difficult, if not impossible, when you solo untweaked, but you prolly got better gear by then. Also, you have better chance to survive in critical situations when you bind the first slot of your belt (full juvs) to 'Space Bar'.

I solo-ed a tweaked teslafroster char in hcle with act1 merc, but I think it's better to have either a fully synergized tesla- or frostadin. With the former, you can go with a Hf merc to slow down monsters, with the latter, you can boost your dmg by hiring a Might merc.

I'm not planning on soloing so I just thought that a teslafroster would help out the group the most :) Thanks for the info

I think this would be a great gear setup for this build, but ive never made one.

WEAPON - CMPB
ARMOR - CoH Archon Plate
HELM - P Nightwing's Veil (5/5 cold) OR Griffons (I recommend Nightwings)
SHIELD - HoZ 5/5 lit (or cold if you feel your lit is high enough)
BELT - Arachnid Mesh
RING1 - 5% BK Ring
RING2 - 20 Dex Ravenfrost
AMULET - +2 paladins skills/resist ammy, Mara's (though i think you'l have enuff resist w/o mara's)
BOOTS - 15/15 treks
GLOVES - Dracul's Grasp
1x Anni
8x Offensive Aura GC's

This gives (assuming you go with nightwings)

lvl 39 holy shock 1-10407 lightning damage to your attack (11.5k max with 5/5 lit facet in shield), 1-1734 pulse damage
lvl 39 holy freeze 4610-4648 cold damage to your attack (5k-5.1k with a 5/5 cold facet in shield), 800-820 pulse damage

ITD means no worrying about AR :)

You can have this build Finished at level 90 with fully synergized aura's and 1 pt in zeal (all you will need anyways). There is no holy shield at level 90 if you max aura's and all synergies first. So i would recommend doing one of the following.

Ditch the CMPB for either:

1) Beast Caduceus w/ +zeal (doesnt matter how many, just to save 2 pts from pre reqs)
2) Rare scepter with +2 paladin skills, ITD and +zeal.

this will free up a few more pts to get you to holy shield since it has 4 prereq skills. 1 pt in holy shield should be all you need (+skills will raise it to 12) and if you follow one of the methods above you should be compltely done at level 92. Of course you could just put 15 in salvation, and pump the last 5 pts last to get your holy shield earlier, which works well too i would think.

If you want to stick with the CMPB, id recommend a defiance merc. Or if your extremely patient and can wait until level 95 to get that 1pt in holy shield while still using a CMPB, go for it!

Its not a cheap build but its not all that expensive either. And i dont think there would be a single monster you couldnt kill.

Stats would go as regular:

str: enough for gear
dex: enough for max block
vit: dump all the rest here
nrg: nada, none, zilch, zero

Thats just my take on the build.

Your ideas for the MERC are not so good. For a TESLADIN, go with a DEFIANCE merc equipped with a DOOM polearm. For a Frost Zealot, might is not good. It quite truthfully sucks. Your best bet is with Blessed Aim. Trust me, I have a fully synergized FROSTY and a Blessed Aim merc equipped with a Reaper's Toll.

Have you ever seen a HELL BOVINE swing when it is CHILLED and DECREPIFIED? Well, they move slow enough for you to get out of the way thats for sure...

Swapping aura's isn't as good as having a singular aura, I agree. Regarding choice of merc, depends whether or not you have itd mod. If you go with cmpb for example, you dont need blessed aim aura.
