Sorry if this questions been asked a lot but I was wondering how viable this armor is for a Paladin? The defense seems nice and the other mods as well. But it has a huge strength requirement. I have a Hammerdin I'm bringing up and I'm wondering if its worth considering this armor for him since I can't afford enigma.

why not use second best hammerdin armor then?
upgraded vipermagi have everything that hammerdin can dream on
+skill/fcr/resist/mdr/

That armor is possibly the worst choice ever for a Hammerdin. Huge str requirement, no FCR, no resists, no + life or +mana. The +2 to Offensive Auras (if you're lucky enough to avoid +1, not like me) is not really that consequential for any build. They should've either made it +4-6 to Offensive Auras, or +2-4 to Combat skills.

The only good thing about the armor is that it's pretty rare, and it has a huge defense rating.

Ya pretty much agree with that statement. It's not only a good hammerdin armor it's also a good all around armor. I even use it on some of my melee characters.

Que Hegan's is also a much better choice (+1 skills, 20 fcr, 20 fhr, 15 to energy, MDR, mana after kill), no resists but it has more defense if thats what you want.
