ww or conc for maul barb?

i dont know what skill is better for maul barb i think ww would be beter for maul but this is my first barb and not sure of the skill, help!

and in case my gear set up has anything to do with it here it is:
Cranium basher
new runeword with 10-20 ed cant remeber name:/
arreats
verdungo
raven frost
angelic ring/ammy(does this effect ww?)
gorerider
gloves not to sure about and i cant afford steelrends
and for charms in goin 8 20 life scs
6 100s
anni
and rest are max dmg charms(leaveing atleast 8 slots open)

i prefer ww with my maul barb, i think of conc as more of a pvp skill which you need a shield for.

u need to get ur ww dmg pass 5k to be effective in hell. 5k pure physical.

No, as he mentioned, pure physical. It's rather easy with the appropriate gear (BotD, damage charms, other elite gear).

but remember the ik maul & the windbringer are the only mauls capable of reaching the last ww breakpoint with either shaels or jewels.if u use cranium basher go for conc or zerk with wrcry.

I don't consider IK set godly, and mine was able to solo all of hell quite fine (eveyr WP every quest)

everybody can solo with fair items. but u r not going to get any exp from soloing. im talking about 8ppl hell runs. with that ik build u can just sit back and relax, leech all the exp u can. cuz u aint going to kill anything in 8ppl games. so just sit back and watch the show

Breath of the dying isn't exacly easy to get for even though some people seem to think that.

And i think the zealot is talking utter nonsense.

Ik set is the best set in the game because the bonuses are so much greater than the other sets' bonuses.

dude ive tried ik barb on softcore, takes me 5-6 ww to kill a pitlord in hell act5, and im doing 4.5k ww dmg. and thats only 4 ppl game, if ik was good everybody would use it, its only a fair set, nothing special

I've been running around solo in 8 player games with the Ik set on a level 81 WW maul barb and have not had trouble killing with the addition of Atma's Scarab, Ravenfrost, and a 7% manald heal. I whirlwind and whirlwind and whirlwind until the monsters are dead, or if a mana burn monster hits me.

The whole set isn't all that "godly" but it made the game a LOT more fun, even with 8 people in the game at once. (I have only been playing for 2 months, and am pleased to have finally finished hell)

My thanks to those that have spent the time making writeups for strategy. WW/Conc with the IK set can be a lot of fun.

The success of the ik barb in baal runs depends heavily on ur merc equipment. My level 85 ik ww barb's merc was using doom and vamp gaze. I wasn't so hot in 8 player games.

Then I got delirium and reapers toll for him. That has increased my damage potential immensely, as monsters are decrypified all the time taking 50% more damage. Delirium has given some comfort against gloams and huge crowds which take a while to kill because of the short range of the maul (the ONLY, not so yummy thing about the set).

I have leveled him upto 90 now, maxing the big four and alternating the rest between warcry and ironskin. I solo baal in 8p games, but at times I save and exit when oblivions spawn in the throne. Howl zerking is an option, but takes too long while soloing & dangerous. Lister co. is cakewalk with warcry. I use taunt/wrcry zerk, if he spawns with mana burn.

So never underestimate the potential of the ik barb, the only barbs that can kill faster are dual botd zerkers and gpoleaxers but are also more expensive.
