Do 1.08 Grandfathers/Shako even exist anymore?

It was always my dream with a barbarian to dual wield 2 1.08 GFs, frenzy, and use a 1.08 Shako.

While the 1.08 Shako isn't too crucial...do either item (especially the GFs) even exist, or were all of them deleted?

Might I still find a rare few (or would they soon disappear?)

as far as i know there is a very limited... or vast supply of 08 items in east NL.. 08 gaze is by far the most common, then 08 wf. ive seen one 08 hellmouth gloves (mods such as cannot be frozen) and lately a few 08 valk helms, which easily fetch 7-8 290s (approximitly 15 ladder sojs, unless their value went down)

Well... My friend still has his legit EDIT: Valk Wing (yes, it's legit, i was a witness) for his pvp nec on NL europe. I suppose some 1.08 G or shako's might have survived, although they will most likely be duped.

For sure there are 'some' left. not many as most of them were duped at the time, I don't know if you're asking because you want to trade for one or not, but actually now, I woulden't see tradeing for one as being as much of a risk as it was in .09 because if (and that's a big if) you find someone willing to trade one, you can be pretty sure it's not goint go disappear.

Though, I should mencion that you cannot use the tradeing forums here for any .08 items, as they are all on the 'do not trade' list.

Life is the main reason I suppose:
Harlequin Crest:
+2 to All Skills, +40% Life+1.25 Mana per Clvl, +50% Better chance of getting magical item, +100% Enhanced Defense

The Grandfather:
+20 Strength, +20 Dexterity, +25% Mana, +25% Life, +150% Bonus to Attack Rating, +175 Life, +2.5 Max damage per Clvl, Indestructible, +150% Enhanced Damage

The changes are noted at the bottom of the page, for any items that had stat changes between .08 and .09.

Some of the changes made items weaker, and some made them stronger, and some took an item from 'godly' status to 'good' status.

as far as i know, ALL .08 shako's were deleted, same with .08 valor's, not sure on gf, but i suspect so.

i actually used to have an 08 shako but when i heard 1.10 was going to come out (along with the rust storm) i traded it away for an um rune...anyways, i have never seen another one since i traded mine away...i actually thought that it was bugged originally since its stats were different from my other 2 shakos but then i realized that it might get deleted so i decided to trade it...it was very cool cause it easily added a few hundred life which helped a lot

Well, as far as I know, you'd be wrong. Contrary to what some people believe they were not All dupes.

they didn't have to be dupes, blizz could have just deleted the older items that were too "godly" or whatever reason

wow those 1.08 items are really good. dual weilding GFs for a barb with level 33 BO wuold add like 1000 life. amazing.


but:

phase blade is higher TC than elegant blade. so how does that decrease rarity?
