break point?

Im using an eth botd zerker and id like to know if i need IAS gear, or if its fast enough on its own to be in a decent breakpoint league..thanks

Well, it depends on what skill you're using. With whirlwind, it hits the final breakpoint, as rik said, and no amount of outside IAS would affect it anyways.

For conc or berserk, on the other hand, the best breaks are 75% and 125% ias for 10 and 9 frames respectively; BotD has an inherent 60, making it default to 11; Highlord's/Cat's would take you to 10, while your best bet for 9 would be either of those amulets, 20% ias gloves, and ias jewels in both your helm and shield.

hmm,I am planning on a zerk barb,so Hal,is 9 fpa really necessary?I am unwilling to sacrifice soul drainers/steels in favour of ias gloves.

Well, soul drainers arent really good to begin with. But I agree, Steelrends are very nice, but look at it this way, with 20ias gloves you'll be doing more dmg/time. And no, 9frames isn't necessary, but it's what you should aim for to get the highest dmg.

EDIT: I forgot, some possible 20 ias gloves are crafted with CB, or LoH (LoH gives lots of dmg vs demons, who doesnt want that?)

Aye, soul drainers arn't so great, but steels are nice - for whirlwind barbs. I myself use some 20% ias/dual leech/+dex/poison length reduce/life/crushing blow crafted blood gloves. It may take awhile, but you can definately get roll a pair of crafts that would compete with Steels and blow Drainers out of the water.
