Which elite armors have the inherrent 5% damage reduction? I want to make enigma in one of them to reach the DR cap of 50.

ohhh, 5% inherent dr? never heard of that... that's cool :D
I've never heard of an inherent 5% damage reduction. Speed/stam reduction/drain yes, but no damage red.

if you check out armors at d2data.net there is an 'absorb' field. in my spread sheet files the field is called 'absorbs' (plural) and is located right next to the speed/drain mod. it seems to be some kind of damage reduction, although perhaps it is flat and not %. if it is like flat magic absorb, it will reduce by a factor of 2x the absorb, meaning 5 absorb reduces damage by 10, etc. absorb could just mean -damage though, so 5 means 5.
heres a list, all normal exceptional and elites are the same
breast plate 1
light plate 1
field plate 2
full plate 2
ancient plate 5
tower shield 1
no helms or belts or boots have absorb. it could be one of this stats whos function is disabled and so it does not apply. even if it were a % and not flat, only the ancient plate is really enough to make a difference. -2% damage or -2 damage wont make a bit of difference, and even if the 5% damage were enabled on sacerd armor, do you really want your strength that high? :cheesy:
I read somewhere (I think on this site) that "full plate" armors have 5% damage reduction. I guess it was wrong.
tower shield 1.
does that mean that every tower shield (ordinary tower shields) have a bonus of 1% damage reduction? Because I always thought they sucked and used bone shields but 1% is always better than zero!

like i said, it is listed in the data tables but it could easily be a number of things.
for one thing, it might not even be enabled to do anything.
also, it could mean damage reduced or damage absorbed. absorbed means reduction x2 of the listed value (absorb 2 means 2 damage becomes 2 life, meaning -4 total), and has the potential to heal.
whether its reduce or absorb, its also not clear whether it is % or flat.
to answer this will either require expert opinion or rigorous testing in a controlled environment.
