Help me decide:Windy or bone necro?

Hello everyone, I saw a previous thread similar to this but I have a few specific topics and questions. I previously played as a wind druid, and he often split w/ max fcr necros. I figured I would make a necro, and devote all items to him to really gear him up. I have max fcr and win 1 out of 3 duels w/ wind druids. Wind druids have the awesome gift of cyclone armor, making them immune to orbs, fohers, and(if used right) blizzers. Hurricane stuns, and helps kill many duelers who couldnt tell you what fhr meant. Also, making a wind druid would allow me to trade some specific 08 items that my nec is wearing. This would free me up to make another good character.

If you have any advice on what a necro can specifically do to beat a wind druid, or if you have any opinions on one class's versatility vs. the other, all are welcome.

fcr + alot of life + bone spear = good against druids. :thumbsup:

bone spear and spirt cant b resisted against, but if u are playing and both classes are with out enigma then i with a necro with CBF,FHR and a few good life charms would own. If the druid brings minion into the duel bring a golem to try to even it out.

With necro vs wind druid, teeth the druid until u take out his sage, he will then have to stop to recast, as soon as you see this name lock a few spirits on, then try and snipe him with spear. Try and guess where he will tele/run to and put a few spears in that direction. As long as u have some fhr and try and keep the druid away from you, you shud win every duel. Remeber, ur bone armour absorbs his attack, so recast if necessary.

He should still have Bear on to tank spirits or have teled a decent distance away.

First off, it's one or the other. If you play a windy and then switch off to a nec who teles 1-2 frames faster, and go back to druid, you instincts will be ruined.

I played one today with my druid vs. a nec who killed me with -spear-, it might not seem like much to any of you guys, but since I've been playing summon nec my reflexes for druid are totally off. I never lose to bone necs unless they go pure teeth with occasional spear, but this guy sat next to me and killed me. I felt so bad. I think I'll play a week or so with just druid to get my reflexes back. That is if ladder isn't reset by then. : /

Anyway, GL. If you chose nec you'll have the nasty problem of elementals, and if you chose druid you'll have to deal with trappers/hammerdins and sorcs outpacing you.

I had some nice 08 gear like valk and 10 pnbers for nec, but I like druids more. I've got wisps, ravens, dwarfs, and such for certain builds. I've played both chars and I have a better time with druids than necs.

Wind druids are crappy without teleport IMO unless you have insane faster r/w , but i heard there is a bug with druids and im not sure if Bnet fixed it yet, its with the druids summons, if they arent dead, then he cant be harmed only when teleing. but thats just what i heard.

but back to the necro thing, i like necros more, just because everyone and their brother has a wind druid nowadays. :surprise:

125 cast rate necro = most likely gg to wind druids with 99%fcr

why?

necro with 125 cast rate, teeth fields to kill oak and maybe wolves.

spear the rest, a druid without oak is one dead druid

great counter to 125 fcr is the 163 breakpoint on a druid, i always keep a 163 switch in inventory but usually just use my 125 fcr gear.

how on earth are you getting 163%fcr while keeping teleport?

would just get you there. that is a heavy life/mana sacrifice from your side... also you lost 2 skills from a shako ><

Well they are both cookie cutter builds and I hate you for making either. But go with nec a good barb or pally will totally kill a windy.

99% of windies have horrible fhr. If you use a necro, you can stunlock Druids with teeth indefinetly and they will die easily. Even if they do have good fhr, they tele more slowly than you do and are not ranged, thus they can be worn down with teeth or spear.

Alot of Druids get frustrated with my teeth constantly killing off their minions so they stop recasting. Big mistake, then its spirit time. :drool:
