First a little about myself (since its my first post)
Avid player of D2 since 1.0, loved the game and still do, however never been fond of the now so popular "grindind" style of play, of doing run after run of boring games just to have a 0.05% chance to get that item i want.. so i am one of those players who, having played trough all versions never owned a SOJ. So around 1.06-1.07 i tried a hardcore character, just for the kicks... it was pked at lvl 27, but i could never go back to SC, so I play HC ever since.
so enough of my ranting... what i want to propose is a different alternative to the current "grinding" style, since in public games its all "RUN X" games, and no more of the good old 8-player-exp-trough-the-game , i want to propose...
The D2 Run to Hell
Format
- 7 teams ,each in a distinct game (Hardcore mode)
- Each team is comprised of 7 NEW characters(preferably with the RTH tag), all the same class (1 amazon team, 1 paladin team, etc)
- Each team must collect each waypoint in the game in a linear fashion
- If a quests in the current area, the players must complete it first before moving to the
next waypoint (ex. Complete Blood Raven before moving to Stony Field)
- Games are scheduled in a fixed fashion (round), and a game created for each team at the start of
the "round", players then must start at the last gained waypoint and move forward (area wise)
- If a player dies during the Run, the team loses the member (it cant be replaced)
- Players may join or leave current game at will, if all players leave a game before
the "round" is over is disqualified
- The first team to beat Baal in Hell (having previosuly tagged al WP´s and completed all
quests) wins the Run!
Additional Rules
- No twinking
- No hacks of ANY type
- Players may not join ANY other games than Run games (shopping must be donde in the active
"round")
Comments
- This type of games relies on a big part on the honor of its participants
- This type of games also require constancy, so players must be pacient and stable with the schedules
So what you ppl think of the idea? would you join would you change anything?
