End of a Season
The Diablo II 1.10 Ladder Season 1 will soon come to an end and Blizzard would like to thank all the players -- New, Returning and Veteran alike -- for making this a great Season. As a special treat to reward the Top Players from around the world, we will be immortalizing the Top 10 Expansion and Expansion Hardcore Characters in each of the 7 Classes on the Blizzard website. That's 140 players from each Realm!
Season 1 Ladder Characters will be moved to their own 1.10+ population when the season ends. Be sure to check back here for details on future Ladder Seasons.
Soo, finally. Great thing to happen!

Ah...no immortalization.
The top 10 on west alone are higher than me.
Why couldn't the other realms be loaded with slackers (and by that I mean TPPKs and botters) like east?
But yeah...reset is also cool O_O

I just got back in 4 days ago..my HCL char is only lvl 53 T_T I never got a chance to get any good ladder stuff.
EDIT: where did u guyz find this info....I dont see it on B.net Home page or D2 area...or on this site....im gonna go check the b.net forums now..
Now, all we need is for Blizz to do this also:
Stop rushing.......liek they said they would
Stop TPPK
Stop Botting
Ban for Map Hack or at least change something to make this version no good for a week or two
Fix some other bugs while they are at it.....
Do we have a date for this? or does this mean it is June 25th and that means like tonight at midnight?

There's no date.
It's posted on all the European sites incase you're like me and just ran off to check blizzard.com for more info then saw it not there. That quote he's got there is all there seems to be.

So we are going to get moved to our own 1.10+ population (whatever the + means). Wonder what that is? No ladder items spilling into the non-ladder economy? Ladder only runewords and items still usable?
Hm...just when I have a couple of nice characters...will I keep playing them or start again?

I think the 1.10+ means all 1.10+all previous patches.
They really worded it badly though if that is what they mean.

Just when I was enjoying myself with my new chars and had prepared ko-ko-mal.
This is just woooonderful timing.
I have to go away for a week next week to cape cod (aka no diablo for a week) and thats starting tommorow.. what a time for a reset. I dont play even CLOSE to enough to be one of the top ladder characters for long, but if it started when I had a few open days, I could at least make it onto the ladder for a bit before being knocked off by all the power levelers.
But this means I will never see the light of ladder.. I will be able to start playing by the time the top people will be in their 80's probably.. a week, with everyone starting from scratch will get people how far? I say about 80... need a few hours to get to 40 in normal baals, then they will take another day to hit 70 in nightmare baals, but hell completly untwinked and with no assistance is quite a hard task... I say 2 days before they hit act5 hell, thats 4 days to level 80, so maybe about 90 after a week of solid play? Anyone remember how far people were in a week?
Also, lets hope NO dupes this season... and unfortunatly, I'm sure bots and triggers will be back as much as ever :(

Don't worry, be back in a month and you'll still be ahead.
Personally if they lose the botting and chicken I'll be fine. MH doesn't even bother me anymore, if they wanna do it go right ahead, but the chicken part pisses me off.

My second hammerdin was level 83 and #18 on the pally ladder ladder on 11/10/03 and I didn't consider myself a "power leveler" or even somone played THAT much. 1.10 was released 10/23/03, so that was ~17 days.
I'm sure this time it will be touger to get and stay on ladder

Well, we can still do ironmen, just with no prizes for a while, but thats fine by me, I'm in it for the fun of dueling, not for the prize.

Betcha $50 they reset it the weekend of July 4th. And Why?
1) Beta 1.10 came out that weekend last year.
2) It's an extended weekend for their largest playing population
3) Blizzard is sentimental about these release dates.

Ahhh, now I gotta get all my stuff together and figure out the order I'm going to build.

just a word on power lvling:
it's really unnecessary to lvl to 70++ on nm baals, like what is being done nowadays. have any of you tried questing? i quested a necro, solo, untwinked and did it in less than 3 days. got him to 78 after all was said and done. and i did it with a lot of breaks in between. meaning power lvlers can probably finish the game in just slightly over a day.
if you are in a group, this gets even better. you can practically do hell with no clothes on, and still have a huge life buffer.
as for me, here comes the necro ladder again :surprise:

Thats very true Xey, I quest often, though it usually takes me about a week to get through it with some pretty solid playing. Longer without twinked gear waiting, though this is only solo or with 1 or 2 teammates, in a big group, youre right.. would be faster.

This is great news, but I don't know about that 1.10 ladder 1 thing though. I kept all my 1.09s alive so they would benefit from the ladder haul. Eh, I don't play them anyway and their skill choices are obsolete too. Suicide run time!

i played pubbies first ladder season around and i have the most fun ever, u met alot of new people and you met lots of not so smart people.. one of the most fun moments was when we were doing a4 hell and everyone was like FE and backed off and some barb just stood there and of course the monster blows up and the barb dies,, i got a screenshot of that =)
don't bash pubbies some of the most interesting people play them,, although i am not gonna play ladder or diablo 2 this time around not until they get rid of maphack/pindlebot so we can play the game properly.

The original game was released july 1st 1999(? or was it 2000) as well.
I agree, it will be the first couple days in July. I doubt they will worry about fixing bugs and exploits at that time, they can always server-side patch it later (probably in 2008).
