Drops in HC?

Okay, I've seen the numbers and the math, and heard the arguments out there that there's no difference between SC and HC in the type and number of drops that occur. But damnit, I just finished normal SC with my Fury werewolf and never saw a full belt of restoration potions. I STARTED normal HC with a Hammerdin, and by the time I hit Andariel, I've not only got a full belt of restoration potions, but my damn chest is full of chipped gemstones and runes! Either this character was blessed at birth or something...any suggestions on this?
(Now, I am relatively new to the game (again; played when it first came out) but I got started again.)

By restoration i suppose you mean rejuvenationpotions, its all about luck in drops, altough in 1.10 the drops have been upped dramaticly so if you played the game at the start and stopped and than came back in 1.10 the drops are indeed better.

But then again i had a novasorc in 1.9 who found flawless gems like mad, everywhere i went it went ping, ping, flawless dropping everwhere. After she died to a lagspike in hellcows i never had a char that found that many gems again, i cant explain it, it's all about luck.

Might also be that now you're paying attention to it ;)

In sc, I generally speaking don't pick up rejuvs, but only grab full rejuvs.

In hc, I'll be wearing a belt row of small rejuvs asap.

i just wish in HC the stash would be double the size considering the drops are more "abundant"... many a time you find an item which you have to carry on you just to keep before muling it...

Yeah... but the thing is..... drops in hc are exactly the same as SC, not more abundant ;)

ya what is this rumor? i have heard people tell me that hc drops are better/worse. they are the same people. unless blizz has been extremely tricky i think someone would have been able to prove they tinkered with the drops by now ^^
