merc lvl up?

Hi, everyone:

Just want to how you lvl up your mercs. I am lvl 73 now, but my merc, hired in act2 nightmare, is only lvl 47. :(

How can let him lvl up quickly?

in 09 i would go do cows, you could try nightmare first wp outside of act 5, come down the hill and the monsters were pretty easy to kill and gave good xp...

really depends on your character but nm cows and hell cows are great for lvling up the merc. the merc gains 1-3 lvls on each run and some pretty nice stuff drops too (for hell cows).
i do nm cows until merc is lvl 70 then hell cows until he is my lvl.

normal cows are too low lvl for your merc to gain lvls off of that. nm cows first and then I'd do nm baal runs from about lvl 55-60 until lvl 70, then hell cows until he's about where you'd want him to be.

How about not letting your merc die all the time in the first place? Someone actually gave out a pretty sweet polearm (for the level, base dmg 106-1??), and since my merc could do damage he didn't die very often. Ever since then he's never been more than one lvl behind me.

I lvled my rogue from the blood raven quest like this. Tristram runs to 15. sewers to 18, canyon to 20 norm cows to 25. Then I tuk him on som hell pit runs and she flew up lvls In under 2 hours she was 88 with my main char

what aura is your merc and what is he wearing?

stone armor looks pretty awesome for a merc, get him a weapon with either huge dmg and leech, or decent dmg and huge leech. if he has enough str, give him a veil of steel spired helm for another 50 all res. gladiators bane is a good armor, so is duriels shell.
