Not just NORMAL type of pk....I got killed by and trigger hackin....not an amazon not a necro with bone spirit....it was....a DRUID!!...a DRUID. Mindin my own bizness when Out of the blue...im no wer near town...im in plains of dispair...oh what a suiting place to die! In the plains of dispair...practically hell's door step. U used hurricane...and I blink and at the same time I was hostiled I was killed but thats not just it....in that same blink everyone ESLE was gone...and this is why people use chicken bot...becuase blizz...cant get things right!!! not just that but...I really liked that necro...I just found claws and **** for my assy...*sigh* I need a drink...
P.S. This was the first char I built since I started playin again(I started playi nagain last night) and in less then 24 hours.....I have been pk'ed...this makes me feel like quiting all over again

most likely a wind druid with tppk. watch out for any sorc with charged bolts also. i read that someone got tppk with chain lightning :scratch:
anyway, live and learn brother. i hate the cheapness of it all. :rant:

im gonna get a 4th friend and only play with them...cause this is just stupid....I took a screen shot after I died and he was saying somethin about he is Rick James...I think he is black cause I watchin that same comedy the other day...

He's just quoting a Chappelle Show skit, it doesn't mean he's black himself. And so what if he is black, does that have anything to do with the fact that he TPPK's?
I don't support TPPK in anyway, but I must say, kudos to him for finding so many unsuspecting victims in one game.
EDIT: Changed "gullible people" to "unsuspecting victims."

Tppk IS a type of PK, its killing a player isn't it? And I thought that was what PK stood for.

yes, but the pk's here on the forum are different from those on battlenet. We do not use cheats or hacks and are 100% legit. In fact, I think dii.net has the largest populace of legit pk-ers anywhere present on a forum.
Yes, PK means "player kill", and no, TPPK is very lame.

i hope to god that you are not trying to defend TPPK's and since you havnt directly i will refrain from flaming. just know that your lame post almost sounds as if you are defending them.
there is no chance of the pray retaliating on the predator, just as there would be no chance of retaliating on someone who used a different hack to take your acct.

Heh, yeah, i remember in 1.09 there was this time when i was playing an amazon with windforce etc..got hostiled by a 80+ barb......everyone went to town except for me and this other guy..the barb teled in (tele charm ammy) and proceeded to try to ww me... I got a few ga's at him which promptly made him go to town...I knew exactly what i was getting myself into when i stayed out of town. This was a legit pk attempt...(taught him a lesson too in pking ^^) This type of pking i can accept thought i'd still call him names and taunt him :). This tppk bs is just for the birds though...and i hope to god that when diabloIII comes out in 2100 that the game costs money per month just so they'll(bnet) actually pay attention to the hacks.

I can hack or steal your acct and erase a character of more, is this PK or is it simply pressing a button or two to make that character unplayable?
TPPK is NOT PK it is simply the push of a button basically erasing that character. It is weak, pathetic and does not even deserve to be included as a method of PK.
Those that use hacks to kill people are weak. They know they are weak and admit to being weak but will continuing to attempt to fight back by stating things just as you have stated which only shows how pathetic they really are.

i was hoping that you were not, but i guess some of the caution one must have on bnet these days unfortunatly carries over into the forum. the realms are just such a mess. welcome to diabloii.net and i hope that you find that the vast majority of people here, and even more so on the HC forums are both knowledgable and very willing to help. my apologies too for taking the post in the wrong light. i hope you will also enjoy the fondness that we hold for legitness around here.

In starzia's runs they are not safe! There are always tppkers, he got his "friend" lusted_javazon #3 zon doesnt deserve his spot to tppk my enchantress with his necro on an account named spilled, I later got the ear back from him but only since I had helped baal lusted gaining him at least several million experience points at an already high level.
Also BC_C sorc the sorc that was whining about how he shouldn't be bashed for botting and that his items were stolen was tppked in Starzia's run... seems suspicious doesn't it? Starzia is prolly evil and trying to get rid of other sorc competition. There is no real safe way to defend yourself from other people using this malicious hack to destroy you're hard earned character level and skills except for screening the people you play with constantly. Public runs sadly can't be safe unless certain players or suspicious characters are screened, it's become like the airport or other important public places where they have to check your luggage for possible terrorist devices. Until something is seriously done about this stupid method of destroying others work the only way to play the game is alone or with a few close friends.
Anyway for those that want to do safe hell baal runs, you can send me a pm listing the char that you want to play with I would definitely prefer no tornado druid, high damage bow using zon with might merc, or bone spirit necro unless I already know you well, or know that you are a legit player.

Tonight with my summoner I was in act 1 getting some skellies in the cold plains before starting to help a friend with experiance (normal game). A lvl 28 Sorc joins and makes a run into the cold plains (my friend is standing at the enterance to town). She starts calling him (lvl9) chick that he wont come out. I go to see what the fuss is about and my skellies remove he ear before I realise whats going on... o'well, cheap kill, but picking on a person 20 lvls aint nice, although be being 40 lvls higher than her wasnt nice either.

The question of legit vs non legit is a hot button around here. 90% of the posters are legit and the other 10% just post to annoy them (lol in my twisted little cy-view)
Legit PK is either grudgingly accepted, vehemently opposed or openly embraced while hacked-pk'ing is always scorned and ridiculed. Always helps to know what you are in for :surprise:

I managed to survive a tppk by a spiritmancer, i was level 16 he was level 42, i walk away with 40 life outta 300... YA word of the wise, the cow level is another place to watch out for pkers.

Some things you did wrong-
-Played while a high level character was near you.
-Assumed people are safe.
The only classes I've found that can't actually kill with TPPK are paladins and barbarians.
And for the record, he could've beaten chicken if you had it. Tornado does wonders on the economy.
And to fe-crazywolf, even if someone is a legit player, they could kill you with any of those methods. :lol:

What about a ThrowPally with high-lvl Fanat and some godly ethereal WingedPhoons?
Could easily get off 3-4 throws before tping and hostiling.

Okay, I was in the wrong. I was assuming I meant class specific skills.
Watch out for all classes. Enchant can be deadly, especially with a Widowmaker.
