ot: meph is pretty awesome

so, i've had a meph killing blizz sorc for about ... well, a few hours.

on my first run, i found a demon limb. great! i thought! saves me from trading for one for the barb i'm planning on making! a few runs later, 38% war travs... an upgrade from my 33%. then nat's armor - 3 sockets, and, my last run, a unique spiderweb sash. this sort of beats the crap out of the pits. while the pits have yielded some great items, meph is so consistent. even when i forget to switch to my mf stuff, i have only once or twice gotten only rares and magics.

did i just have some good luck, or is meph really that awesome?

if it helps to know, i havent done quest and only kill him in games where the quest has been done. most games have had 4 or more players.

You are having good luck! Wish for it to keep up. Sometimes there will be streaks where you will just find crap aswell. Good luck on your further finds :thumbsup:

yeah, i had at least one with yellows and blues, but it seems like every 2 or 3 or 4 is something that i go, hey, i could use this, or hey, i could have used this instead of trying to trade!

i wish i knew a place to post screenies for free. if i could, i'd send a screenshot of me standing over meph's corpse... 1 blue, a lance, and 5 golds... military pick, flail, grim scythe, ogre axe, and swirling crystal. even if i only pick up two, this is sort of blowing my mind how easy it is to get midlevel uniques! reaper's toll dropped like two runs ago!

Yes, Mephisto is still the one boss that can drop you very useful mid-level items that are great and useful. I used to farm him when i started out again in 1.10
In no time i had all the equipment i needed, either by trading items or just using them myself.

Nightmare Mephisto is very useful to get equipped and easy to kill.
Seems you have your lucky streak ;) Pray for it to stay!

Definitely luck, the only thing i've got from meph that i found somewhat useful was a cold facet... which i traded along with some runes for a stormshield... or something.
