The trial of being a sorc

i hate being a sorc on bnet sometimes, you try to be nice to people and they just act like jerks, it's so rare to find people that actually are willing to play nice why am i saying this you might ask? 2 reasons today so far

1) doing norm baal runs with my sorc, i tele to baal and all i ask is that everyone allows me first pick at drops, they ignore that and they ***** and complain the enitre time i'm tele'ing for them

2) doing nm meph runs, some sorc joins named like Gangsta, obviously some ape trying to impersoninate a human, and he teles in after me, i say drop is mine, he says ok....when meph dies ( very quickly cuz i'm a blizzardess ) he teles in and takes the entire drop ( uni war staff the only thing ok ) and says "SuCker" and leaves like he got some amazing drop The point of this? Not only is this idiot trying to flex his internet muscles, but he doesn't even realizae he got a crap drop and i'm gonna track him down and pk him like 12 times over, he died to a stygian doll at the beginning of the run for god sakes

I hate the ******** bnet people and if you have done something ******** like this in your life, I hope you realize how much of a loser you really are :rant:

We hear your KittyKakes. Superhal started a similiar Sorcrant in the General discussion forum. Whenever we telebaal we are either to slow or too fast (meaning we use maphack) or we just dont open the portal at the right space. etc etc etc. Wonder what would happen if we stopped teleing.
I guess there would suddenly be a high demand for Enigma armors :teeth:

The thing is, as a Sorceress you can never put it right for other Baalrunners. I usually go by these rules:

1. Open/Join Telebaal game
2. Baba is in game but wont BO
-> 1.
-> Have your own CtA handy and just cast it yourself ;)
3. Somebody complains on my way to the Throne.
-> Ignore them for one time
4. Somebody complains again
-> 1.
5. Somebody thinks i am too fast and say i am cheater
-> 1.

With this procedure i usually manage to get a decent group together with whom i can run for hours on and on. Sometimes there's another Sorc in the group and we can try to beat each other to the throne or just rotate with the Teleing.

Concerning drops, i have given up to ask for having some of the drops. If i want items i do my own runs or just play with a friend. Anything else is useless

I'm especially growing to like the players who are obviously too low-a-level (or 10) to be in whatever area you're rushing. They dont kill anything. And they're the first to rush in and pick up any drops!!!!!!

i find little ways to get back at them like opening tp's that are swamped with guys and then do the baal run on my own wile there trying to find away to get there bods. but hey ill let them help if i find a cold immune that i cant handle :creep:

Ok, I typed out the whole story, but the goddamn server for the forums keeps going down (or something bad is happening, I don't know what).

Basically, this kid ditched me at Nightmare Diablo because a Dol rune that dropped from the Forge wasn't good enough for a rush all the way to Ancients...Wow...

Just last night some guy stiffed me after i rushed him nightmare. I was looking forward to getting his forge...but before i knew it he left. It sucks but oh well life goes on.

I don't think it's right to expect first chance at drops if you tele, even if you ask. Getting first drops is a privilege not a right. So is getting tele'd to baal, but you offered to do it. If everyone asks you to tele before you start and you say "only if I get drops", then is the only time I think it should be expected, when it is agreed upon beforehand. It works the same as forge rushing. You only get the forge if you've agreed upon it beforehand.

Of course, if you're doing all the backbone work with the killing too, that's a different story.

People on battlenet suck, stick around with nice people from forums etc.

Though you shouldn't expect/want the first hand at drops, if i'm in a pubby baalrun and a zod drops, no way i'm even considering letting it go to the person who just happened to teleport, besides, 6 others are going to grab it anyway.

yeah, what's really bad is i'm on a baal run and i'm the only sorc in the game (Amazing isn't it?) and everyone's complaining because i won't "tele".

i was lv 25. i hadn't put a single point in mana. i had 2 items that'd give me +100 mana but that'd be at lv 37. they all called me newb, so i started to run, opened a tp near a bunch of axeguys and watched the screen fill up with death messages.

i'm not normally that vindictive, but i've had enough trouble leveling my sorc to 25 while saving ALL my points for blizzard and CM. they got what was coming to 'em.

when you have a good group though, teleporting around to find the throne isn't monotonous...until about the 20th game. i would sometimes go as low as 30 seconds and sometimes it would take me a minute or 2, but no one complained. some people asked me what MH i was using and were impressed when i told them "none."

that's my rant. there is hope, but there is more stupidity (why are all the stupid people in game either barbs or pallys...or is it just me?)
