Yesterday I decided to play HC seriouslyfor once. Im one of those people who played if for a pass time but never saw the other side of lvl 20 most the time. But after a few good runs and meeting a nice guy who rushed me + gave me some starter equip I got right into the game.

Norm and NM flew by and I was really enjoying myself. I was lvl 65 and though 'what the heck' Ill go to hell mode - the creature here die easy so theres not point n staying. So offer I went into hell mode.

I join the first game I see. 'Den HC' sounded promising and so I join. Theres a lvl 87 Sorc in the game and I know to keep an eye on her, even worse she is sitting in town. Theres a lvl 60 Necro in the game too, an obvious MH user and he keeps asking about m equip and can he have free (rare +2 necro wand, sanders boots, +1 summon skiller and undead Crown - nothing amazing). Obviously this is my only equip and I have nothing else to use so I told him 'no'. Im a friendly player and I wasnt offensive or abrubt. He says he will kill me if I dont give him it...

I knew we would just be fighting for a long time without a victor and I had the advantage over his skellies as I could get invloved personally with my nova. As the Den he opens a TP and the noise comes on... hostile. I dont have a TP (bugger). But its nt far to town and hes just a summoner...

It wasnt the summoner who hostiled me. It was the sorc and it happened to be his equip recovery charactor with a vicious Frozen Orb. Now I have nothing again... except an apitite to rebuild him.

I tell this stroy not for sympathy, begging for equipment or anthing else. I just thought Id share my loss and experiances.

<BTW Im HC Ladder on Europe if anyone fancies some company>

Im playing hc not too long myself and lvl 65 is no mean feat. My highest lvl char died couple of weeks ago (lvl 53 necro) and since im not into mfing yet, I had to start over.
After a couple of feeble attempts I now have a "ghost" trapsin at lvl 45 and progressing steadily. Doing normal runs I gathered some low lvl gear and made my first mule (yay :) )
In my opinion, hc progression is slower than sc char and item-wise, but much more satisfying. Besides, I just like playing the game for what it is, not having uber gear or anything (actually, the possibility of obtaining high-end stuff is an extra incentive to play ;)).

I'm more of a casual player, but maybe I'll see you around on the Europe hc ladder :howdy: .

as long as you're cheat free and are mature you can come to "chat gat-europe"

MH is indeed also considered cheating.

I've been in the gat channel a couple of times, but it seems a bit empty. I'll check in there every now and then, I really like playing cooperatively.

I've been in the gat channel a couple of times, but it seems a bit empty. I'll check in there every now and then, I really like playing cooperatively.

The channel is empty most of the time (IMO).

Try looking for a game called gatnm, gatnorm, or gathell.

(possibly with a digit on the end.........)

Or, you can try /w me on unoob acct (although not on tonight - tuesday).
