Hadn't happened to me until just now. I got the message while I was in a game with my cold sorcy. I'd been running Meph with her to get the hang of it and then all of a sudden the screen starts shaking and I see "Diablo Walks The Earth." So I whisper my friends, but no one's on to help me out. So I wait for the game to stabilize, all the while thinking which of my characters could defeat him solo.
I decide that AbstractCider is the man for the job, my level 84 Frenzy WC barb. So I spawn him at Bishibosh and immediately I'm overwhelmed by the pure size of him. I rushed in and took him down to about half life in a couple of seconds (hurray for CB and static), but my merc was losing health fast and I was getting swamped by the myriad carvers and rogues running my way. So I eased off and took out the monsters on the perimeter leaving just me, the merc and DC.
Well, he was one tough mother****er. 10 Full Rejuvination potions later (mostly spent on the mercenary, who bought it in in the end), and he shattered into ice. I scooped up the charm as greedily as Golum might the One ring and headed back to camp to identify my prize.

Cool stuff, or so I thought till I checked the Arreat Summit. Turns out it's one of the ****tiest possible rolls for an Anni. Oh well though, at least now I have one. Back to harvesting Mephy.
