Best weapon to make "Beast" out of?

I know you can make beat out of 5 Socket Axes/Scepters/Hammers. Which though would be the best for a pure skellymancer that does no meelee himself (yeah i'm lazy :P). I've looked for a good cauduceus for awhile or other good scepters on East SCNL, but found nothing that would also be good to put on a meelee charachter if I decided to later. I'd love to find a nice combo between low requirements & damage. The closest i've gotten is a 5 socket crowbill. Any suggestions?

For a non-meleeing Skelliemancer, the weapon will not matter. You can use a War Scepter for that matter.

If you want to use your Beast now and later transfer it to a meleeing character, I would try to think about how that build will most likely look like. Then decide on a weapon for that build.

Overall you can't go wrong with a Caduceus. Just find one with a nice aura like Holy Freeze and use the Socketing Quest to add 5 sockets.

I agree on the Caduceus,only thing is that the + skills it grans are PALADIN ONLY,thus you wont benefit from them. ~~

Yeah so? FrostZealots can use a Beast Caddy pretty effectively. They like extra Holy Freeze. This way leddan can use it on his Necro now and transfer it to another character like a paladin later on.

Its all about the re-sale as well. Caddy or Zerker even.
