problems getting a might merk

I can not seem to get a might merk.
i go to NM act 2 buy an ofensive merk = thorns :cheesy:
i go to NM act 2 buy a defensive merk = thorns :cheesy:
i go to MH act 2 buy a combat merk = thorns :cheesy:

What going on ??????????????????

Might is NM act2 offensive.

Does your Merc have a Bramble armor?

I got his problem figured out...

do not look at the image of the aura, hit 'A' (by default control) once it's activated and see if your dmg is up.

Might and Thorns look very similar, so it's easy to mix them up. They both have the little flaring spikes, but IIRC the Thorns spikes move in a spiral pattern, while the Might spikes just pulse in and out. Or maybe it's the other way around--not on my home computer right now, so I can't log on my paladin and check.

As Gvandale said, check to see if he's boosting your attack damage. If so, he's a Might merc.

K they do look the same but have different sounds when activated. As said, offensive is what you want. Thorns sort of has an high short tone, while might is lower and longer and kinda sounds trumpets o_0
