Where to find a good "White" wand?

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I could not find it with the search function. so I shall ask... Where is a good place to find a decent candidate for a "White" runeword wand. In other words, a gray 2 socket, +3 bone spear, +3 bone spirit - type wand? I have the runes, but I'd like to put them in a good wand to get a really good bonus.

Found one or two wands in act5 normal with +3 to bonespear, but yeah, I would give act1-3 nm a go. Also, if you find a good wand to use, but which ain't socketed, I'm guessing you could use the socketing quest reward, given that the specific wand type can have 2 sockets.

I shopped a surprisingly decent +3 Raise skeleton, +2 Corpse Explosion, +2 Bone Spear wand in Normal Act 2. It took me about 2 hours of merchant running. I was aiming more for Raise Skeleton/Skel Mastery/CE, but bone spear was very welcome regardless.

So thats one option, if you dont mind no skills above clvl18... Shop in Act2/Normal. If you want all low level skills, for optimal chances of SM/RS/GM/CG/CE, then shop in act 1, up to clvl 12.

Have 500k handy, please. Nothing sillier than waste half a day running that 3/3/3 and not being able to buy it without selling your potions, keys, old wand, switch gear, and pgems. :)

Dont even look at stuff that doesnt have 2 sockets or youre just wasting time and getting depressed "Damn if only this had 2 sockets instead of 1...".

Beware of "Artisan" stuff. I saw a blue, 2 socket, 20% faster cast 3/3/2 wand and almost fell for it :) Has to be gray or you wasted your money.

There's no such thing as a "good place to find a +3 bone spirit" wand. In order to get a whitable wand with bone spirit on it, it has to be dropped. Sorry, cannot buy it. This makes them nice and rare.

You can buy a whitable wand with +3 bone spear from Drognan in normal. Takes a lot of time to get it to spawn though. Any shop wand after act 2 normal is going to be magical and useless for runewords.

I suggest whiting a wand from drognan until you get lucky enough to get a good drop.

I believe it's because wands that give + to spirit just doesn't start dropping after act2, and you will have a hard time finding any non-magical wands (ie whiteables) in the shops from act3 normal and forward.

I would recommend following goofy and valamyr's tips about endlessly hunting the act1-2 shops normal after a good wand with the mods you want and have 500k ready.

It is possible to buy one. Just not one that you can use for a rune word.

He's talking about Bone Spirit, not Bone Spear. What I am reading here is you can buy a whiteable BSpear wand, but not a whiteable BSpirit wand.

A good place to find +3 Bone spear and +3 Bone spirit is NightMare Cows i no u guys want +3 bone spirit but if u want spirit u cant shop it so u gotta find it make about 20 public nightmare cow games make sure ppl come so u get more mf or whatever it does, and look for Lich,Bone, And i dont know what the others are called that have the +2 socket unless u got maphack which tells u the socket number...o ya but go with Bone Spear its better in the long run.

doesnt the fact that they only sell magical have to do with char level? i think if you have like a level 10-12 in act 4 or 5 you can get socketed wands...

Nope, what the vendors sell (not gamble) depends on the act and difficulty, not character level. If you want to confirm it yourself take a high level character to act 1, normal and see what they sell.

Note, by the way, that if you're willing to burn a couple of low-level runes or a Larzuk quest, you can turn a non-socketed wand into a 2-socketer to make White. So you're really looking for a wand with either 2 or no sockets. But, yeah, 1 socket or magical is right out.

Well, Normal Drognan sold me an unsocketed bone wand with +3 bone spear, so I took it, for about 90k gold. Got Normal Larzuk to socket it, got 2 sockets of course. :) So... now I have a "White: wand that gives a total of +8 to my bone spear... doing somewhere around 1500 damage right now, in act 3 NM. Kills most things in one shot. Character is about lvl 51, with bone spear maxed, about 15 in teeth, about 12 in bone spirit, and 1 each in bone wall and bone prison. Bone spear skill lvl is about 32.

Bud, the +1 to bone prison kills that wand

It makes the marrowalk bug useless

Wand’s and Yew Wands can only have 1 socket. Bone or Grim Wands can have 1 or 2 sockets.

You can’t buy a Bone wand or better in Act 1.

Act 3 or higher almost all wands will have blue lettering so you can not use a rune word in them.

Act 2 can spawn up to level 18 skills, so Bone Spear is fine, but Bone Spirit is too high a level.

If you are buying one, you need a Bone Wand from act 2 with grey lettering.
