Light sorc (equipment and such questions)

First of all: this cirlet: +2 sorc/20 fcr/40 light res/38 life (not socketed yet) or a shako.


Second of all, plz give me some equipment guidelines, it's for general pvp, not tvt or svs.

@WhySoNoob Griffon's is l-only. Besides that it sucks, all you do is place 2 extra small charms and the -resist is covered. Your shield sucks for the same reason. -resist is so easily resisted in pvp it's not even funny. Also the %dmg facets add is so minor you might as well ignore it.

Ultimate equipment would be:

CoH dusk
+2 sorc/20 cast circlet (filled with jah/p.ruby)
+2 sorc/17+ cast amulet
arachnid
Lidless wall (um)
HoTO or eschuta's (probably HoTO)
Bloodfists
2 soj
Waterwalks or good rares

CtA on switch if it's allowed, without it I wouldn't do ES. You do lose a lot of damage with ES.

Yet another fool who can't distinguise between build and items. What you're showing here isn't a build, it's just gear. If you were to actually build anything around it, you'd have insanely low life, 156 str for a monach, add to that a huge waste in dex for blocking? You don't reach the relevant breakpoints either, 80% FCR = snail sorc. Even if it was a build, your gear suggestion shows just another pubby glass cannon, those aren't meant for duelling.

DD, don't overlook the tal's amulet/belt combo, and know the casting breakpoints. Unlike Sopper I'd recommend maxed TK and depending on your charms perhapes everything in energy to exploit high level ES and TK. You may also want to leave out the lightning facets, they're not really needed. If you come against someone how can take a few hits (TG using barb), those won't make or break your world, however prefect skulls or Dol runes can save your behind against trappers and similiar "life-chippers".

Yea i agree with mule, though his setup does reach 105 cast (25 griffon + 20 + 20 + 40). But you probably would want 117 for lightning builds. I still think my equipment offer is optimal, at least for non-es builds.

I am finding that this combo is working quite well for a low str build that is very balanced:

Griffons
Maras (or better = caster amulet with res)
Eschutas
+3 lightning ormus
70% sanctuary
magefist (blood fist if you have a good caster amulet)
2x sojs
arach
crafted caster boots with res

This setup gives 5% more res than a standard coh build and close to the same skill lvl lightning, also the extra 20% light dmg can be useful...

I am finding that this combo is working quite well for a low str build that is very balanced:

Since you didn't even mention griffon in your origonal post it leads me to beleive you arnt on ladder so I just didn't use it.
If you don't use a fcr shield then you need at least 37% fcr from helm and ammy.

If you go with lidless then you can just get 17% and use something else for one of those 2.

I dunno it made sence to me hope it makes sence to you. If you use lidless DON'T put any points into dex it would take so many you would have terrible life.
