ebotd zerker axe

I am making a Zealot Pally and for his wep i want an ebotd zerker. But i dont know the first things about them. I dont know what the max ed is ect. I can go to the runewords section and check this i know. But I dont know what a realy good one is worth or what a really bad one is worth. I see some people selling theirs for 5 hi runes? Wouldnt it be cheaper to make my own? It only takes 2 hi runes i think. Also, if i find an etheral zerker axe with no sockets then use my socket quest on it does it automatically get 6 sockets or do i have to find an etheral zerker with 6 sockets already? Doesnt the axe have to have a white or grey name for it to get max sockets? Thanks~

Well high % botd's are just worth so much beause you aren't always gaurenteed a high % one and they are more sought after. yes it's true if you use the socket quest you will get the max 6 sockets, and it obviously does work on grey texted items because ethereal items are displayed in gray writing although they remain socketless sometimes.

Besides the range of ed%, it's also very hard to find an ethereal Berserker Axe. That's why even without the runeword, eth zerkers are worth so much.

Nope.

If you were to buy all the components and make your own it would take about 5~6 runes (3~4 for axe, Vex and Zod)

The cheapest option you could go for (apart from finding an ethreal zerk axe) would be to buy a very low % one which would have about 162-479 damage - based on 350% ed, and will cost you about 4~5 runes.

Well the axe sounds better but it will just cost to much. I already have an etheral war spike so i will just get larzark to socket it and then make it with the runes i have. I have zod and vex already so i can make that easy and still have runes left over for other equip. But i cant decide what else to buy for my zealot :S

Well I suggest some Dracul's grasp for gloves. Life tap = almost invincable for a zealer. A vamp gaze or Crown of Ages is a nice helm..you can socket them with enhanced damage or ias jewels as needed. Armours I'm not too sure about. I personally use a stone runeword and with max holy shield I hit about 16K defense. A HoZ for a shield (nothin better for a pally imo). Boots..not too sure either, I use gore riders for the crushing blow and open wounds, pretty good frw too. Throw on a T-god belt for some lightning absorb or a verdungo's for some good pdr. Well thats about all I can suggest. Hope you have fun with the build!

For a Zealot, an Exile would be best for a shield, imo. However, a good ethereal one will end up costing you as much as the BotD, if not more.
