Its not rare but it is the stepping stone into the mid level runes. I transmute my runes so i pick up tal runes and up! Someday.....i will have an um hehe

If that was directed at me, how am I mean? I have to put ten characters. . and "No" isn't exactly ten characters now is it? So I added some. . . .

Also. .is it really hard to type things out? You're on a forum, you don't have to type "fast." Even though I believe that typing the words out fully, and correctly, doesn't take me any longer. .typing like, "u r mean" seems actually harder to me then, "You're not very nice." And it's also a lot easier to read. . .

I agree, much easier to read some english that is at least coherant or shows some sort of thought, and not the intent to butcher the english language, no i'm not bagging on this guy but venting in general. I guess I have seen so much of it on cs and diablo 2 I need to post it somewhere :D. I don't think he was being mean whatsoever, what was he supposed to say? It isn't worth much so he is giving him an honest answer, the only other alternative is saying yes, which would be misleading and leave the thread-starter confused. I suppose he could've made it sound like a not-so-bad rune by saying something like

Although the rune may not be worth a lot in the eyes of others, it is very useful in many ways such as "blah blah making hel sound important"

But in the end A_S_G was not out of line because the original question asked whether it was rare and he gave a straight answer, just as me asking if mana potions were rare, the answer would also be no.

--No i am not comparing the rarity of hel runes to mana potions to indirectly say that they are common and worthless, because they serve great worth just aren't worth much in actual value.

Yeah, I never said it was worthless or anything, he/she asked if it was a rare find, which it definately isn't. Hel is rune # 15, there are a total of 33 different runes. Doing a few countess runs in nm can easily get you a hel rune.

Hel runes can be very helpfull, -20% Requirements to stats in weapons, and -15% in armor, shields, helmets.

They are also required to take jewels/gems/runes out of items, the recipie is Hel rune+TP Scroll+item in cube and hit transmute. This is very helpfull if you want to put something else in your items.

But like I said, he asked if it was a rare find, I said no, then added some dots to make it atleast ten plus characters long, I didn't really count, just wanted to make the post to help him/her out.

Also, about the dots. . you yourself did the same exact thing, so what's your problem?

btw, I am what the community call a "nOOb" even if I have played D2 since the day it came out...
I do not play "only D2" so I am not aware of all the things that concerns that FANTASTIC game.

i like hel runes, they are so useful but i seem to have a shortage on them. evidently they are quite prized becasue last time i try to trade with them, couple of sheals,etc, they rejected my offer. i had to look to my mules.
