Greetings,
The graveyard is the Necromancer forum's off topic thread. Please note some changes from the previous off topic thread to comply with policy from "up top".
This thread is for off topic conversation/discussion.
Not spam!
Spammers will be warned and repeat offenders may have to be... dealt with. *evil necromantic grin*
Sorry but thats just the way it goes. Anyway, carry on peeps. :D
p.s As a token of ..niceness since switching to these tougher OT thread rules I am not going to be deleting the last spam thread - thats right, you get to keep your post counts.
yay! the graveyard! thanks DK. Poor old OT...thanks for closing it off, I'll shift for the links I wanted. Yay!
I would like to hear the story about Dark Knight and some other old timers. How did they end up here and so on? Which other games do they play? Even age, photo and such would be fun. Not to mention strength, dexterity, life and mana :)
EDIT: And thanks for the free posts, Dark Knight! :drink: As I was guilty of 10 or something I think there are a few guys who will thank you even more :uhhuh:

Old timers in what sense? Age, time spent playing DII, or length of membership on the forum?
Old timers in what sense? Age, time spent playing DII, or length of membership on the forum?
I meant oldtimers in "being on forum" sense. I'm oldtimer in the game myself, but not even a year old on forum. So I count myself as a newcomer here.
EDIT: I guess you want a number. More than two years then.
EDIT: And thanks for the free posts, Dark Knight!:drink:As I was guilty of 10 or something I think there are a few guys who will thank you even more :uhhuh: .

I thought the last one would be forever and break records but I'm happy.:music:
I do not know the whole story of Dark Knight, what I do know I will tell.
Dark Knight used to be Dark Veteran when I first started hanging around and his avater was that old Necro picture with the blade hand stained with dripping blood thing....
I know he lives in London and attends a university there, is around 21 and plays on a 56k modem.:D
Teulfelkreis and Ash rank among the survivors of that era, as does patsy, who posts ever so often...
Teulfelkreis, I know little about; outside of his run in with the law, cool, cryptic german Forum name, tastful avatar, and a few classic comments...
Ash is known by all as the residential pro/antagonist with a mind, who posts violently and shifts avatars crazily but with a perceived pattern few recognize..
He also attends a university of some type in unknown location and vistits Las Vegas semi-frequently.
Patsy is the...minstel-scholar of our humble forum. His genious comments are reknowned. Necro forum legend.:thanks:;-)
I know Patsy holds multiple degrees I think physics and chemistry but am not sure. I think his has lived for some 30? years or so...
Necrochild313, Mad Mantis followed by the likes of my self, come up next; I beleive we all started posting here a bit over a year ago.
I tired of writing...there's always a next time...and there is more of course...

I thank you for naming the new thread, The Graveyard. :worship: Now my introduction will make more sense. :p

Yeah, I guess that is true. I do remember Dark Veteran though. I lurked a while before I signed up.
Is it the general idea that we now introduce ourselves? Lift the veil of secrecy that surrounds us? :uhhuh:

Ah jeez... I dont remember specific dates, but I came about in Necromancerlord's era a long time ago I guess.
I recall some of my first posts along the lines of "Why bother doing <insert build>! <Summoner/CE or whatever> is the most effective!" - not quite getting a grasp on things. :uhhuh:
I went along, de-noobing on the way and finding myself contributing to more and more guides and stuff, particularly in the hardcore field. I never gave advise quantatively "this skill is x damage better than"... but I prefer to give qualative information such as "dude - max this :p ".
For a time I became a light spammer/joker (anyone remember the amazon cannon thing  ), before smartening myself up. Necromancerlord, who was a capable mod decided he would go out with a bang. I filled his position as Dark_Veteran, much to the dismay of the clique of "old skoolers" back then.
Hilarity ensued.
At some point I quit for a while, later to rejoin as Dark Knight. Over time the disruptive elements of the forum were sorted out, and so I became more mellowed out in my modding... you have to agree the place hums along nicely now!
I currently am not a regular dii player as such - my attentions are slowly turning to WoW, however once a necro player - always a necro player!
(I played necros in softcore then switched to hardcore. My speciality is (was) insanely l33t PM necro's, for hardcore/softcore, specifically summoners of some kind.)
I am now 21, just finished university, and I hate americans who thinks everyone lives in London! :-P
I spend my time now when on the forums divided between necromancer forum and running my 90 strong euro wow guild.
(Incidentally Dark_Veteran was the name of my first proper bnet char - a paladin! I soon converted to the dark side though! >:-D )
I always forget what the thread is called after the first day

Oh yeah... I still remember the last time I quit dii. When my hardcore necro got the full trang set. I remember walking through act 1 town unbuckling and throwing off my trang set piece by piece (For ranvage to pick up), before taking my long walk...

Oh yes - despite living in the UK i was a staunch USWester... namely because by the time I had de-noobed enough to realise I could >choose a realm< all my friends were already made on west.
Thats enough about me, someone elses turn now...

I stumbled upon the forum after searching for a guide on a Necro who used an axe. I didn't know that classes came with builds, let alone the names of the builds, so searching took a long time.
I found a few posts on this forum. A bit of browsing here showed to me that you could do far more with this game than I ever thought possible.
I build my Necro and played a lot with him. It was a perfect build for my playing style and it thought me a lot about the different skills.
I guess I lurked about 5 months before I signed up. Seeing as how most people asked questions to which I had seen the answer about 500 times and because people asked questions that I could answer with my newly developed Necromantic insights.
After a while of posting you start to see some names that post frequently. And before you know it you can recognize the regulars. Now I just do what I have always done. I repeat answers that have been given 500 times and I share some of the ideas that I formed while playing my Meleemancer. I still love that build.
I’m 19 years old and live in Zetten. It is a small town in the Netherlands. I study Chemistry and will start my third year after the summer break. My “real” name is Kevin. I enjoy kickboxing and gaming. And that is probably more info about me than you actually wanted to know. :cheesy:
I hate americans who thinks everyone lives in London! :-P
Try dealing with the Americans who think Denmark is the capitol of the Netherlands. :cheesy:
Hi, I'm The Kbob, or some better know me as Ken.
I started lurking a bit before the big bang a year back and posted here an there in the Comm. Forums. I eventually saw the OT thread of the necros and that allure brought me here. That was right before DK became the Mod (again I think it was) here. I didn't know all the people here. I thought Telef was hardcore, Necrochild was a raving lunatic, MadMantis was well... foreign, Beatboxer was going to be mod, and Patsy... was well, Patsy. Things have since changed, and everything is still completely true, BB was even a mod :uhhuh:
Since then, my necro skills were honed and have since cranked out the nice piece of work known as the Commandomancer, the Melee//Summoner hybrid that pwns joo!
I don't have any other hardcore hobbies like kickboxing, just D2 and my VG collection. I plan on attending University of Dayton this fall semester studying either Areonautical or Mechanical Engineering.
Capital of Denmark is Copenhagen, don't know the capital of Netherlands. Amsterdam maybe?

I was on the forums since right after d2 was released. i lurked mostly, but i went through the old marketplace mostly. i went through about 10 or so board resets, where you have to sign back up.
it's funny because nobody else would ever use the handle gvandale (for obvious reasons) but so many people would complain about their handles being taken by someone else.

My name is Necrochild313, or my interesting R/L name of Bill. I was flung into this world on July 26, 1985. I stumbled upon these forums by them being illegally linked from another forum (which utterly blows compared to this one, they're still in the stone age, I don't even think they know what the marrowalk bug is).
I was a lurker in those forums but I became a member of these forums right away when I saw the necro OT thread *for joy!*. I enjoy spamming up this thread and being told i'm wrong about poison length lengthening when negative resistances are present (i'm bloody not damn you all). I will someday get some people to see that i'm not wrong, and appreciate my genius, at least thats what I tell myself to help me go to sleep at night.
Currently I am an underpaid employee at a Cadillac Dealership making their website, but since i'm the only one here that is computer literate I can play diablo 2 while at work when noone is around (theres my explanation Slip).
I am the caretaker of the Necroforum's Regional God Senor Amphibio de Muerto (http://hometown.aol.com/necrochild313/evilfrog.jpg), or SAM (http://hometown.aol.com/necrochild313/evilfrog.jpg) for short. He pwn joo if you post OnT here. I joined after the last big forum crash when everyone had to create a new account.
I've been playing Diablo 2 for about 4 years. I was attracted to diablo 2 by the allure of the necromancer, as I loved the necro in Hexen 2. I played SP for years and only quite recently have joined the online bunch (as I have dial up, 'nuff said).
I used to play Magic the Gathering until the local comic shop went out of business and the one the town over is just flooded with cocks.
I am a stupid American and I believe that all English live in London, that Denmark is the capitol of the Netherlands, and that everyone should speak English.
On a more serious note, you shouldn't watch most tv shows as they are soaked in subliminal mind control. I mean it.
I also hate the noisy damn banner ad that shows up sometimes. If paypal wasn't a pain i'd be a pal already.

One guy over here held a lot of people hostage to ask for support on his battle against wide-screen TV’s. He was convinced they had mind control signals in the black stripes that appear on screen with some programs. The nutcase shot himself. :cheesy:

Fellow Necromancers,
Hello,
I'm Patsy, and I'm... (choke!) A NECROMANCER.
I know, I know... the dark road was winding and slippery, having first started out as a Plaidin' converter, but when I saw how my 'loyal' followers would point and laugh at me when I expected them to follow me down the stairs to the next level, I decided to give up that goody-goody-two-shoes (why *shoes*? I've still not been able to figure that one out) and go for all-out gronkage, namely a Barbarian. I liked to play and root and hork the things that I've killed, and upon one bright, sunny day in the steamy jungles of Kurash, idly toying with the skeletal remains of one of those damn little yippers, fashioning it into a grim ward, I decided, 'hey! I really *like* this sort of stuff!'
Been a Necro by choice since then.
As for *when* first got the game, it was back in either late 1999 or perhaps early 2000, and after a few months of the affore-mentioned ramblings, 'twas Necro-bound! I didn't come onto the forums for at least a year or two after that, and it was during the big NecromancerLord and 'who is going to Mod the forum' debacle. I cannot recall all of the names, but yes indeed, it was DK (in a previous title), Ash, Gvandale, and a few others that aren't around anymore. I'll let their names be.
As for 'veteran', I'll say that I simply lurked like some others here did for the first few months of upon joining, simply 'learning the ropes' and doing RESEARCH before asking a question that might have been asked countless times before. And after seeing that many of the 'ideas' that I've had had also been mirrored by others, so that's when I decided to go for those 'joke builds' that MM has been so fond of.
Oh, and by the way, Physics was my first degree (BullS***) and Aerospace Engineering (MoreS***) is the second. Both obtained during a gulf war, recession, and/or both, which is why I really don't care for going for a third degree (PileitHigherandDeeper). It could mean WW III, not just this current 'WW 2.5'.
As for age.. eh.. I'll just leave it as me saying factually that I recall the very first moon landing, aka Apollo 11.
Egad, this is quite rambling of me, isn't it? I'll stop now.

That is a kick azz power! You can cause a war by getting a diploma. All I can do is make an institution build a new building worth several millions. My primary school, high school and now university have all decided to put down a new building, just as I was about to finish.

Hello, I'm Slipin. My real name is Tyler, I'm 23 and was born July 29, 1980. My Diablo career has been a long and winding one. I watch D2 unfold on Dii.net, and when that special day came....my car broke down :(. I first got to these forums from some linkage years back, and stalked them for about 4 months, when I heard of a new game called RuneScape. I played runescape for about
a year, and then returned to the dark and dank world of Diablo. The necro was not my first class of choice, when I was a noob I loved the WW baba, this was back in classic. When LoD strolled into the scene, its was very different, I played the baba and pallies for a bit and when I became economy wise, I was look for a nice challange, so I decided to for the must underused and underrated class...the Necromancer. I was bewildered by how diffcult they were compared to Sorcs, Barbs and Pallies. Although hard I loved them, and in .08 and .09 I love NvN dueling, it was keeping me intrested in the game long after I would have quit. While 1.10 is a major improvement for necros and casters in general, I still miss the the challange the gave me (although there not easy now).
As for my real life I life in Wellington, Florida and have attended Winter Sail university for game design and business management. I am currently at a Ford dealership owned school down by me studing Automotive engineering.
Well thats all for me,
P.S.- Welcome back Souless ;).

I started playing D2 for about 9 months before the 1.10 patch came out, so for all intents and purposes, I am a n00b who happened to listen to the advice given to him (most of which came from this forum).
I'd like to say I've always been a Necro fan, but this is not true. I started off as a pally that maxed thorns. Everyone at the time seemed to favor barbs and sorcs, and I like to be different. I wound up at the door of the necro house after I got bored with my barb and pally. Upon raising my first skeleton I haven't looked back...... except for this post of course. Yeah, I'm a summoner through and through. All other builds/guilds/classes bore me to no end. Funny a summoner-addict should talk about boring  oh well, the pleasure of the kill is in the chase.
As for me personally, I'm a sophmore in college currently attending summer classes. My forum name (which also happend to be my acct on USEast) is a result of my admiration of the samurai class in feudal Japan. The tale of the 47 Ronin is one of my favorite samurai stories (don't watch the flick though, there's zero bad-*** katana swinging  Seven Samurai is a much better choice)
I look forward to contiued posting on this forum, and hope to get ot know everyone a bit better.

I graduated from college in May 2000, and started this job that June. There wasn't much work for me for awhile, so I started reading this site. I don't know when my first introduction to the forums happened. I had various names, NeonReaper, WickedReaper, and now this one. What happens to me, is that I get sick of the game and the forums and vanish, come back, and forget my password, so I make a new account.
I was first a regular of this forum, moreso a regular lurker than contributor. I became a regular at the Barb forum, but only to start a hardcore untwinked gaming group. After I got bored with hardcore ironman, I gave up for a while. I came back for PvP, and did that whole 76 legit thing. I won't go into the details as to why I left that.
I then did a bit more gaming when 1.10 came out, but then got bored quickly again. I haven't played in a few months, and I don't anticipate I'll play again.
I've been around a bit, most people who would remember me are gone, and I don't stick around long/often enough for people to really remember me.
I love Weaken.

You'll have to excuse my close to OnT but where are you Kbob? I've been waiting in your xfer game for 10 minutes. I gotta leave to pick up my gf soon, i'll just pick up your items and give them to ya next I see you on.
EDIT: Ok, you just joined. Sorry to hear about Erin :(
My question about old timers turned out to be a presentation of the people here. Well, that's even better. I should introduce myself then.
I'm Fearox, real name Dan, and I live in Sweden. I'm 27 years old, musician (experimental/horror music and metal), journalist (from time to time on a newspaper over here) and student at a university nearby (linguistics/semantics and media).
Just after 1.10 was released I got a guest article published on Diabloii.net. Even though I got mostly positive feedback, some people flamed me in the following thread and I thought I should defend myself :) So I had to join. And that I don't regret now. Have learned a lot from this forum and the other ones. I have been visiting dii.net for years though.
I got into the whole necromancy business as I started to play this game summer/autumn of 2001. I've always enjoyed mage builds, "the dark side" and skeletons, graveyards, occult reading and so on. So choosing the necromancer as main character just came naturally.
As time passed I got more and more annoyed by the way some people behave in public games, so me and my brother formed a clan called The order of the Squid on Europe realm, where I play (this was in late 2002). The clan is still alive and kicking. Oh, and the name... Got it from one of the music projects (Squidfarm Disaster) I'm in.
Hope I didn't get you too bored with this, but as I enjoyed reading about you other guys I thought I might as well post this.

It turns out that only a few of us actually digged the Necro from day one.
I have played Necro ever since I first started this game. I thought D2 sucked when I first started. I didn't like having to use the mouse to direct my character around the screen; I grew up on Sega Genesis and Sega channel.
I got into computer games through my brother's freind giving me an old copy of Starcraft, and I loaded it into my Mom's computer. (which she barely used and is now under my care.:music: )
Starcraft was very impressive at the time and so I ended up grabbing Diablo2 one day....
So ya I almost took the game back to the store after I took my frist necro from act1 to act4, in classic, and got THOUROUGLY squashed by the O. knights and then Diablo himself...I couldn't understand why the game had suddenly become so diffucult. I had good armor I thought and some flashy green lettered helm (berserkers :cheesy: ) and my flail did up to 60 damage (I still would like to have a succesful necro with a flail) but I couldn't win.
Lord_Rahn's Meleemancer guide saved me from taking the game back to the store and here I am today. :p
The game at first was very mysterious and cool for me but after my 'education' and general computer gamer indoctrination, that occured throught this forum, I now see Diablo2 much differently...
I started posting here much like DK described with his initial noobishness, but then, somehow, overcame.
Al these guys around here are way cool and I'll likely be posting on these forums until I die.^-^
P.S. Where's Fats?!

I bought D2 the day it was released, and I started playing in SP because I had not yet succeeded in convincing my parents why having Internet access at home was a good idea. After all, I was only like 15 or 16 at the time, and what does a teenager know? :uhhuh:
Anyway, as soon as I got home from buying it... literally, I closed the garage door, when *boom* a huge thunderstorm opens up and our power goes out. :(
So for 5-6 hours, all I could do was read the D2 manual by way of a flashlight and figure out what class I wanted to be and plan my skill points. I chose the necro, and the rest, as they say, is history.
As far as posting here, I think I posted maybe once or twice in the PvP forum, and then no more until the forums were reset and I had to remake my account in July of 2003.

disgaea takes centuries too
edit: FFXII hasn't been released, guessing you meant VII?
Xenogears can take stupid long too, I flew through it in a ways. Looking back it's a good game, but mech combat = teh sucks. I would rather due to the fighter style combat than mech. Mech = two things against you, your hp and fuel. Fuel runs out = Dead, HP runs out = dead. Was teh sucks.

I hate the new trend in game design. They dumb things down and make them shorter. It seems that you can fly through all the newly released games in a day or two. Not fun at all.
BTW, does anybody know any good and long RPG's? Preferably cyber-punk, but fantasy and post-apocalypse are also nice.
No I meant VII, which I did just about everything in, though still tempted to play it again.
X-2, I will have to pick up again where I left off. I'm using the guide too.
XII should be interesting.

I forget whether or not you have a PS2, but Disgaea is odd to say the least and long, VERY long. You would enjoy it.
If you are comp only, you are up crap creek without a paddle. I have seen next to no good RPGs that arent MMORPGs on comps.
Action games and such are shorter, but not RPGs, but I guess I'm still playing through older generation ones. FFX took me 55 hours to do most of what I wanted to and I want to play it again someday as well.

Hmm well we haven't yet discussed nanotechnology and it's expected effect on the future of manufacturing and gaming.
There is a group of gentleman now developing nanocomputers. Computers composed of a few atoms capable of holding insane amounts of data due to the nature of partices on the nano scale.
So far they have only been succesful using three atoms, which ends up with not much more data space than today's top technology but are working to incorporate more atoms into the mix and if succesful..... :drink:
Or how about God. Not necesarily Religion, because that can get irrational rather quickly, but the idea of God. I mean why should there be a God? What rational sense does that make? Hmm maybe God is not the term I mean to discuss, The Creator. Who first imaged a sentient creator and why did everyone start to beleive him?
Some people might not even consider questioning a 'Creator' becasue they say they have faith or a holy book is proff of God to them but I don't see how beleif in God is much different then a beleif in Santa Clause....
I'm hungry.:)

As a Die Hard atheist, I do have to say that the idea of an all-knowing all-powerful creator is something to laugh about. The more I read my manuals, the more I am astounded by the complexity of it all. My belief is that it is impossible for one person to come up with something this complex.
Maybe people thought up a creator to give meaning to their deaths. Central in most religions is not how to live properly, but how to prepare yourself properly for death. People are afraid of it. It eases their minds to believe in something that was so powerful that it made a world. “If it could make a world, surely it can take care of me after death.” Seems to be the central thought.
And we all know that Deep Thought build the Earth, for the pan dimensional beings who manifest themselves as mice in our dimension, to come up with the Ultimate Question to the Ultimate Answer on Life, the Universe and Everything.

1. Fakies. I understand if a woman has an undersized chest and it effects her self-esteem such that she undergoes this to achieve the self-esteem she's always wanted. I say, nothing wrong with small ones, but that's not the image women are directed towards having. The fakies you see in magazines and stuff are obnoxious and annoying. If I want to play with toys, I'll bust out my He Man stuff from 1984.
2. Sushi. It's good, I never had it until a year ago. Now I kinda like it, but not all of it. I haven't really ventured into the world of sashimi yet.
3. Religion. It's a subject I think best to leave alone, but I wish religious people wouldn't use their religion as an argument for social issues. Could god, the all powerful creator, create a rock so heavy that even he couldn't lift? One should think god can create anything, and god is so strong he can lift everything.

Concerning Food: I would have to say my ideal meal (no rhyme intended) would be some grilled Johnsonville Bratwurst (all other brands of bratwurst I have tasted pale in comparison to J-ville), with an ice cold bottle of IBC Root Beer. As for sides, I dunno, I'm kinda indifferent there. Whatever strikes my fancy at the moment I suppose......maybe some waffle fries or something.....
Concerning an omnipotent, omniscient, etc. being otherwise known as God: I am Christian (Catholic by denomination), thus you could put me in the believer category. I used to base my faith on my upbringing: God exists because everybody around me says so. Well at the time everyone around me also said Santa Claus existed, except for my dad; he was real smooth about it. He never said "Santa Claus" but used the term "St. Nick" who, in fact, did exist at one time and gave presents to kids.
As I grew older I have moved on to basing my faith on philosophical insight. Of all the arguments for God that I have heard, I agree with quite a few. One of them is Ewing's "Argument from Design" which basically states that the universe is so complicated and whatnot, that the chances are small that everything just happened at random. It is much more probable that the universe was designed with a purpose in mind, and usually the simplest explanation is the best one. There are other arguments I'd like to go on about, but that would turn this thread into something different than for what it was intended for I believe.
My irrational evidence for God is instinct. When I stop and look at everything around me and concentrate, I just have a gut feeling that something higher is out there.
Interesting side note: If you ever take a philosophy class, you'll find that history has churned out significantly more arguments for God, than against. Not saying that this proves God exists, I just found it interesting... I was kinda expecting something closer to a 50-50 split.

more arguments exist FOR god because people need god. dont get me wrong, i believe in god. your catholic god as a matter of fact. i dont bible thump. i dont believe in half the catholic church garbage they spew out.
but in reality, people have always needed a 'meaning' to life. as said prior, we live in fear of death, instead of enjoying life. thusly, we need something to give us hope for when we die, that there is a 'greater place' for us to rest eternally.
i'd say it's not until recently (the last century) that people started advocating the idea there is no god. this last century has brought about more cynacism in people, especially americans.

As far as god goes, I believe that there is no god, the will that fills humanity would be the only instance of "god" there could ever be. In essence the only "god" there ever was the accident of life, their effect of thier will is "the creation". It can be argued that things are the way they are because that is how everyone expects them to be. Reality, "the creation", is based solely on perception, if everyone percieved something the same, isn't that how it would be? In that essence we are all "god".
WTFNCGETSNOFREE?!!!1!!1~~1:rant:GIBFREEPLZ!1FREEPL Z
Or we could argue that Alfredo is in fact god, as the "neo-god" is percieved with all things good, and Alfredo is all things good.

Never been to Germany, probably never will. Not that I dislike Germany or anything, it's just that I'm not big on traveling abroad. Long way from my house here in the USA to Germany. Besides, I don't drink alcoholic beverages (don't mind it in my food though :drink: ), and I hear Germans can rival the Scots in alcoholic consumption. Then again that could be another misinformed foreign rumor that us Americans keep hearing/spreading.

I haven't owned a console since my all powerful 8-bit NES. I loved that console.
Nowadays I get the feeling that by the time I own a console, they will already release the next version, rendering my old console obsolete. And the prices for games are outrageous.

dude that new zelda (the mature graphics) is just absolutely unreal looking! I had a gc but sold it after i whooped up metroid. no other games (at that time) warranted me keeping it.
I had a ps2, but sold it after I realized it was garbage (and it is for the most part...the graphics pail in comparison to xbox).
i agree wholeheartedly with MM on the next version's of consoles coming out too fast. I think it's a bit too fast, but they have to keep up with people's expectations, since a lot of gamers are also PC gamers, where graphical enhancements happen every 6months to a year.
but on cost, todays consoles / games are the same price they were back in the old 8bit nes days. obviously inflation has made the actual tag price bigger, but if you looked at it on a value level, the prices are the same...at least here in the us

I read a few games magazines here in the Netherlands. Most of them cover all platforms. This means that you pick up stuff about the consoles as well. From what I have seen so far, they have not even begun to fully explore the graphical power of the new consoles. Manufactures do not force game designers to be creative and get the best from a console.
And I think most of the "hardcore" gamers do not value graphics as highly as game play and storyline. I mean I play Fallout, D2 and Deus Ex. All of these games have obsolete graphics, but the game play and storyline is great.

I think the ps2 has pretty much maxed out it's graphical power. They are still having problems with pixelation / anti-aliasing, which was the gripe from day 1 (I know I waited in line for 2...sold 1 on ebay for a grand). The gamecube is still improving it's graphics, and the xbox continues to amaze me.
While it is true that hardcore gamers dont rely on graphics as much as casual gamers, it's the casual gamer that most publisher's are after. The guy walking down the aisle of his local electronics store, and see's this nice shiny box, usually a half naked girl on it, and a guy with a big gun.
When this casual gamer turns the box around, the publisher knows if it's nice graphics he's looking at, he'll more then likely buy the game.
hardcore gamers dont count in reality. which sucks because I am one.
Right now the new releases cost $50 for all 3 consoles. Some companies are smart and releasing their new games (sports really) for only $20 since they are basically a 'update' of the rosters from last year.

When this casual gamer turns the box around, the publisher knows if it's nice graphics he's looking at, he'll more then likely buy the game.
I wonder how much revenue the publishers actually gain from the casual gamer. Do they really produce enough cash to warrant a shift away from the hardcore gamer to the casual gamer?
Right now the new releases cost $50 for all 3 consoles.
New releases for our games are about € 70.

nobody really has any right to complain about it
Your 'tar makes resistance futile. :D
Who is that disgusting old man in your 'tar?
WHAT YOU SAY?!?
SOMEBODY SET US UP THE ASIMOV!
Seriously, that's Isaac Asimov, one of the 'pillars' of 'old-school' science-fiction, like Fred Hoyle, Arthur C. Clarke, Fred Saberhagen, Stanislaw Lem, Robert Heinlein... the list goes on, but Asimov is one of the BIG writers. He had died years ago, old age caught up to him and his body wore out.. he wrote the 'Foundation' series as well as numerous 'Robot' books, upon which that 'Three Laws of Robotics' pontificates so much and also upon which that soon-to-be-released film, 'I, Robot' is based.
Ha-ha-ha.. I said 'based'.
IT ALL BELONG TO ASIMOV!

Thanks for clearing it up Patsy. I have heard of Asimov and have read a few of his works, but I have never seen a pic of him.

Come on Beat and Kbob, have you seen my guide yet?
Overall, the grammer and style are much more formal than mine and looks well done. Inserting gear for untwinked has been covered, though I do not feel up to creating a twinked guide due to lots of work (10 hours today starting at 6:00AM :cheesy: ) So I will put thought into this later.
Adding anything that is questioned in red is a good idea. Great AR giving items outlined would be an idea. Rare + highlords vs. Angelic will play into it as well.
Just make Frontline the Commandomancer :cheesy: I can see people making a guide and then flame wars starting of duplicating and a bunch of other stuff that would be a pain :uhhuh:
Max frames of a Necro is 10FPA. That's what the calculator states. To give an example: Most Iron barbs using GF or a CB in general reach 10FPA attack.
I'll have to re-read it when I'm not as out of it.

Thanks for that Slip. I've read it and sent you a reply.
Tomorrow is concert day. I hope Slipknot doesn't spoil it.

Yeah, I'll add it later on. Tomorrow is not going to work for me.

I'll change the main terminology, but I do want to include the historical name as well.

Yeah, good point. I'll rephrase that part. I have been playing with the calculator. The necro is not as slow as I thought, it is just that some characters can reach insane FPA's.
Thanks for the input.
Tomorrow is concert day. I hope Slipknot doesn't spoil it. I'm not going as you can tell because I wouldn't be on the comp right now :cheesy: My friend had to cancel for some personal family issues and go up north, which I can understand. but noone is gonna drop what there are doing and come, and my plane already left 3 days ago :(. But good news is Metallica and Godsmack are doing a concert in Tampa in November, which will be awesome (got my tickets) Slipknot < Godsmack so its bound to be good. But I need my fix NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!
