Which Weapons ANd Shield?

Having a little trouble figuring oput what i should do, this is a mfer, So for the switch i need mf, i was wondering if i should use beast+ist'd shield for killing and the other switch for summoning and teleing. Or should i just use a gull and instead of ist'd shield for killing. Thanks, tell me what you think i should do,this is a mfer ;\

Beast and Ist shield??? Rich!
I use Leoric/Homunculus for summoning and when I want more skeletons and resists, and Gull/Rhyme on switch. Most of the time I change to Gull/Rhyme after getting my army, since 11 skeletons can kill just as well as 14, and I gain 125% MF.

Rhyme is Shael Eth in 2 socketed shield.

Edit: For teleporting, I'd use an ammy, so you don't lose skeletons when switching.

OH yea for teleing i din't mean tele charges on a wand, i was talking about for the fcr, i'll be using enigma, mainly i was wondering if i should use beast andthe ist'd shield for killing, and the arm of leoric for summong/teleporting(i'm using enigma) iduno i figure it out

If you're gonna dream, I think the best mf setup you can expect from the weapon and shield slots is a 6-socketed sword (6*Ist) and a 4-socketed shield (4*Ist), giving you a total of 280% magic find :drool:

However, I think the strength requirement on this is rather high for a necro, not to mention the fact that it's gonna take quite a while to get hold of 10 Ist runes.

I'd suggest a much cheaper alternative is an Ali Baba sword and a Rhyme shield (ShaelEth). The sword comes inherently with 2 sockets, which you could Ist when you manage to get a hold of a couple :) I'd suggest saving any Ists you get for weapon sockets anyway, as you get 5% more mf when you socket them in weapons than when you do so anywhere else.

funny thing is people with 600 mf have a whopping 40% more chance to get a unique item than my char with 300 mf. I bet that my 300% mf mfer kills a HELL of alot faster than the typical 600% mfer. Now killing speed is a constant, non diminishing factor. More kills = more items dropped. MF is insanely diminishing.

I suggest using homoncolus and beast for killing, leoric and golemlord head on switch for summoning. With wartravs, enigma, shako, and any mf that may come from rings/belt/ammy (you are doing a commando it seems) you should be set. The only time a massive amount of MF may be helpful is for the final hit against a boss, and you can always just throw that amount on your merc and allow him to get the last hit.

I know what you mean. The diminishing returns are pretty crappy when you look at them on the chart.

I've started doing Mephisto runs with my trang summoner recently. My latest plan is that I tele / fight my way through The Durance until I get to Mephisto. Then I TP home and change into my mf gear, go back to Durance and kill Meph. Crushing blow on my Merc takes care of him pretty quickly, and I can wear whatever I like for mf gear, cos I'm just standing about watching Mephisto fart himself to death.

I'd take the 31% more chance to find a unique item over a insignifigant increase in killing speed.

Doesn't apply to me because I use a poison/skeleton hybrid. Deaths Web and partial trang pwns the hell out of 4ist monarch and isted baba/gull

Though I find that a pure summoner magicfinds a bit slowly, although prebuffing allows you to have alot of mf and good skellies at the same time. :thumbsup:

ya know what i just thought of, why not dual weild 2x p.topaz ali baba's? That would give way more mf then a stupid rhyme milabrega's shield.

Y'all need to remember that Perf Topaz only adds magic find to ARMOR and HELMS. It adds lightning damange to weapons and lightning resist to shields.

So don't waste a Baba with Topaz...Ist is the only way to go with Baba for pure MFing. Now if I can only find 2 Ists for my Baba...

This here is best for a mf necro a Ist Homonculus with a 2x ist baba. It gives u a total of 165 with just these 2 items at lvl 80. And with your other items a lot more of magic find =).
