View Full Version : Nats set worthless?
I have recently aquired the last pice of Nats set (Pits) and wanted to see if it was even worth building a sin with. I checked some of the guides, but they are most PvP (Im pure PvM) and most want chaos or other uniques. So is Nats set even worth anything on a build? Or should I just see if Charsi wants it :(

No, it's most definitive NOT useless, since I got it for my asn, it became a little bit easier.
It may not benefit a trapper all that much, but for a MA-sin, it really shines.
If you do not want the set and is thinking of selling it to charsi, please think again. I'll be more than happy to pay the same price as her, maybe even more ;)

The Item Fund is always an option...see the stickies.
Ah, and Nat's isn't good for Kickers-the Mesh Boots don't provide enough damage.
Personally, I don't use the high level duped runes, so a Nat's claw is the only high level claw with ITD that I can use. And for a PS assassin, ITD is godly. The rest of the set is about as good as the best uniques, like most of the other sets. Which is to say, it's pretty good, especially if you are tired of the game being too easy due to all those runewords.

What runewords are you refering to?
Regarding Nat's set, the only mod's I miss on it is mf and/or prevent monster heal, that would rock! But one can always add rune or use an item with those mods. But as far as my experiences with the MA-sin's goes, they are not good at mf:ing, which I think it's a shame. Asn's are to me the funniest character to play, by far.

Well, what bugs me is that when I think Assassin, I think quick effective kill. But, get to Hell Baal, and it can take you 10 minutes of hacking and slashing to bring that bastard down.

Yeah, I know what you mean.
I can't seem to hit him as often as I think I should, does the ITD not work on bosses? But I have no problems with Diablo or Andy.. hmm...
For some reason I miss Baal more than I can hit him, and that is not the case anywhere else.

ITD does not work on bosses or champs. Consider Eth'ing the claw if you're having trouble hitting them...all it takes is a Hel to unsocket.

it is make a ww/kicksin use nats set with a chaos claw. with psn die facets in ur items u will be really good. A decent amount of damage
i think nat's set is great. i love it, especially w/the 30% damage reduction. i hate using fade, sin seems to run and attack slower w/fade, than it does w/out any aura.
nat's set in my opinion plugged up all the holes in sin. damage reduction, plus to skills, resist. ITD on the claw rules.
i hate fighting baal too. i take forever when i go toe to toe w/him. i thought laying of the hands, highlords would make a difference... not really.
i usually don't have problems hitting him, just kicking him. even w/out demon limb i charge up my tiger strike quickly.
The only thing I think that lets it down are the damn boot... no good to kick with.

the claw does 400% ed to just about everything in range of high level chars. not many animals around that it wouldnt work on. 40%/400% ed, if someone had that, with cold damage, they would trade that for a lot :) so the weapon and armour are great in my book.
the kickk thing is a bummer of course. but eh, kickers need different gear I feel anyways. elemental, enigma, strength runeword, cblow, stuff like that, maybe some deadly strike. all stuff that comes from crafting and odds and ends. a set really wouldnt do much in the first place.
