Well I've recently gotten my fishymancer to act two nightmare (level 44, just recently restarted d2) and of course I'm getting a might merc. But as I scrolled through the list, I noticed most of the names just plain suck. Too bad you can't name your merc (who knows maybe that and some minion controls will be the "new features"? prolly not but hey I can dream).
So anyway I just just wondering what merc names (a2 or otherwise) you guys like? It doesn't really matter gameplay-wise, but I'm weird like that (I also never like to have less than full bone armor, so asymetrical). What do you guys think? I always liked Ulric in a5, but not enough to drop might

Wheed is the coolest name for a merc hands down.

I like Azrael. My Act II Merc for the time being. In so many ways does he resemble Gargamel's cat, that I can't stop laughing every time I play D2 with my Summoner.

One of my chars had an act 3 ice merc called Scorch once, which I thought was hugely amusing.
I like Haseen from the act 2 selection for some reason, although there are a few good ones there.

Makes a brother smile to see Waheed chillin wiff all dem Necros.
(I purposely go through and get a waheed every time I select a merc. If a waheed I want isn't there I make a new game. Annoys the hell out of my friends list. It's funny that others love that ghetto-fab name as well  )

Waheed is vera nice but I'll have to go with MM and say Azrael pwns. You just can't beat the angel of death + mad anti-smurf action!

My girlfriend loves the merc called Ip :) I find it nice too, as it's that short.
All the act 5 mercs make me laugh, as Blizzard's been trying to create Swedish names (I am Swedish). Ulf is right though, and Magnus (common names), but Yrmenlaf and stuff like that... Sounds like some kind of beer you don't dare tasting...
oh yea, Emmy!! Except mines holy freeze =)
It's always Emilio for me :)

Would sound more like Viking-ish names to me. After all, the Vikings were probably often referred to as Barbarians by other civilizations, probably because we kept raiding our european neighbours cities :p
