Upgrading?

Hi all, 1st post here...

I read alot about upgrading armour etc?? if i had a vipermagi armour... how do i go about upgrading?? im not ladder so does this work?

Can't upgrade to elite on non-ladder.

I've never seen the point of upping a vipermagi anyway. As if you need defense on a non-spearazon... :/

I think the defense goes up to over 800+. Now, especially in HC you will find ppl who argue (rightly so) that you cannot have enough defence. Especially if you get BO...every bit helps to survive

Being a hardcore hardcore player myself I know what people think of defense and survival, but upping a vipermagi is just useless since your defense will be low anyway on an amazon, unless you specialize in it. That great 800 defense really won't help you more than 200 would. Giving up some half-valuable runes to something that doesnt help you seems quite useless to me. Not to mention the upgraded character level requirements...

Now I wish I didn't make my lionheart in a dusk shroud but rather in a light plate... still looking for a Lum rune now, saves me 6 str :/

You are of course correct, sir ;)

On the other hand...I hardly need to use potions..and I certainly never have used all 16 in a belt. Still...some ppl would upgrade a Nightsmoke belt to get the 16 rows.

Myself, I can't upgrade a Viper since I A) only have one with 27 res all and B) I am notoriously short on certain runes.

Never seem to be able to find LUMs, hardly ever a PUL but "drown" in UMs.
