It's an old idea, but it helps :) I'm giving away items on USEast Ladder. Anyone who wants to help with handing items out, or just has a few spares, feel free to contribute. Any realm, ladder or no. The items that I currently have available, with the more useful mods posted:

The limit is one item per person, as my stock isn't very large. These are all of my best items...they happened to be Assassin related, so you have this thread. Also, the items are for people without anything useful (or with very little); if you just want another item to play around with, please refrain.

Yes, that's what I'm worried about. The idea isn't mine; the Necro forum did this long before (that's where I stole the idea from...although I doubt they're the first, either). I have no way of verifying whether or not someone is actually in need of the item, so I'll have to judge them by how they request it and such. "OMG GIMME JADE" won't cut it.

Bleh, being nice is difficult.

Well, if you're genuinely giving items away, it shouldn't matter who takes them - just a thought.
And, we could turn this into a trade thread for assassin stuff - just IM if you want something and post if you have something to offer.

Yes, I know, but I don't like when people can't give up an extra 10 seconds of their time to use proper grammar. Especially if they're requesting something.

Sure, you could use this as a trade thread, along with the original use. I don't know how many of you will be contributing to the fund, and as I pointed out earlier, I only have four Assassin items of value.

A free fund is a good idea, I've seen it work on the sorc,necro and uswest trade forum. I expect most of us recieved help when starting out, or when making our first sin, It would be good to give something back.

I think the best way of doing it is to set up an account and have 2 or 3 people know the pass for it, donated items can be given to those 3 people and they can then dish out stuff in reply to posts here. This keeps things a bit more simple and centralised.
I have a stack of stuff like Bartucs and Nats etc to donate and volunteer to help with the item fund if this is the way you want to do it, lmk if you want me to perm a mule account. :thumbsup:

There are trade forums for trade and personaly think thats where trade should stay. Just my opinion.

hmm i think that the account idea is a pretty good idea. Although transfering stuff is always kinda annoying...for me atleast but if people are on enough i guess it could work. I think that turning this particular thread into an assassin trade thread would be a bad idea because this is just like an assassin charity thread however i dooo think that we should have an assassin trading thread (just not this one) because the trade forums often have huuge trade lists and if you're looking for something specific it's harder to find

chances are no one will have a chaos rw to give away since wwsins are popular and chaos tends to be hard to get (in my experience)...i got one for an ist rune...then again im very lucky..ive traded an um for an ohm...ive got some rare mid lvl claws that i could donate to the fund but i wont be on until atleast thursday...

Will this be ladder only? or will people be interested in a SC version too.

Funny thing is, with the new patch, an assy can just about use any 1 handed weapon & achive great results using different types of gear. Once you overcome the AR. The rest is easy.

I'm currently using a hexfire sword on my furysin in NM & just kicking serious a$$. thinking of switching to a lightsaber next.

I don't think I am wearing one piece of traditional assy gear, but that does'nt mean I don't need any.

Beyond nats set & claws, what else could we give that would be of some use?
I have tons of gear but not sure what another would want/need. I hate to give something that would take up space for another more useful item.

How about merc items? I have a spare bonehew that a HF merc would be just deadly with. Had one on my old HF merc & he was almost unstoppable with it & a eth durials shell & eth crown of thieves. I added a -15jewel so as to drop the str requiements & then aded a lit jewel.

New idea: I'll try to make a game every night; "AssyFund", password "Forum". I'll alternate between East and West each day. This will be up from about 7:00 to 9:30 E.T. If you have any items to contribute, this will be the time to do so. I'll be there with my *Aitrus account, and I'll bring *SassyFund when someone wants to make a contribution.

Tonight is East day. Until I find someone willing to be on West each night, I'll have to alternate.

Any suggestions, or is this reasonable?

If you're interested in mking some donations Pay It Forward, items like those 2 socket Nats, shadow claws, vipermagis, crafted amys that dont quite cut it etc would be a great help to someone starting out.

I wish there were a faster way to perm...I'm wasting time perming characters instead of doing MF runs for the Fund -.- Speaking of which, what's the exact amount of time needed to make characters permanent?

Is there anyone on these forums involved in the Europe or Asia realms? I'll try to make a Europe account as soon as East and West are done, but I'm not sure about Asia.
The magic number is 2 hours per char

You need trap claws but didnt say what realm your on, also you can shop a set of trap claws from hell anya in about 10 mins, give it a go. I'll check and see what we have so far in the fund.

If you're on LUSEast, Dragon, we have a pair of +3 Trap claws. Those are the only mods on them, though. Requirement: clvl 45.

Hi, I am new to the forum, ive read it for a while just never posted. Anyway, i love the idea of having a fund for players starting new characters to attain some items and have some help from vertan players. I esspecially love the idea because all of my old D2 chars and items were deleted cause i hadnt played in so long! so when i picked up 1.10 i was startin fresh, but it made it all the more challenging and fun. If anyone has got some nice claws/boots/armor that is where i am really struggling.

I could certainly donate some low-mid level assasin items, but that is about the extent of my collection until i do some MFing.

Also, does anyone know anyhting about the pattern rune word? Or another good rune word for some claws?

Chaos is a nice runeword, if you want to use a WW build (although it is rather expensive). Fury works, as well. Depending on your level, you might want to consider Malice and the other low-level runewords.

As for your wanting claws, we have Jade Talon and Bartuc's available on LUSEast. Message me when (if) you're on-my account is *Aitrus.

I was apparently prohibited from using the computer until Finals ended, so I decided to let a friend take care of my account (the one with the Jades, Nat's helm, etc.). My parents were gone for several hours, and I tried to check on the account. Every character is gone.

I'm trying to decide on a character. I think I'll stay with NL, as I have a large amount of items there.

After quitting 1.09 out of disgust at the hacks, and the fact that while being rushed meant you leveled fast, it also meant you were cursed the spend the rest of your days killing cows, I decided to come back. Maybe 1.10 had put some sense back into the game... and it had. 1.10 pwns. But, restarting on Hardcore is pretty hard. Any good person out there is willing to donate a ~good~ Jade Talon to a poor guy whose assassin item's mule expired? (yes its indeed true. with 3 talons, 2 bartucs, almost full nats, trap charms etc... I was waiting my sorcy get to 80 and went to travel. now that was very dumb...)

I'm making a Immobilizer or the one who's quite simillar from the Strategy Compedium (the crouching tiger one) but havent decided yet. But indeed a Jade Talon would be a nice donation.

I'm an old forum-goer from before the reset who quit Diablo, but is now coming back into it (long story). And my first character I'm making is a Trap Assassin, because I've always loved 'em.

I've just started playing again and have a new sin, someone was nice enough to donate parts of a sigon's to me but anything would be appreciated, I'd love to be able to get a chaos claw but I don't really have as much time daily to play so any help with the runes or whathave you would really be great =) Sometime in the future I hope to have a natalya's set and chaos claw

I just recently returned to Diablo after about eight months. Created a Sorcerer and a Paladin before finally deciding to make a Lightning Trapper. Was looking for some decent Assassin guides, and it brought me to here. Great site by the way, the forums have been especially helpful! :)

I am a monk from korea, that is travelling the globe by foot, armed only with a hand crafted walking stick given to me by my dying grandfather when I was 10 years old. And, then when I was training to become a master monk, my master told me to seek the "Dark Assasin" and recieve the "account" in order to complete my training and continue my travelling of the world.

Hi. I've recently begun playing Diablo 2 again. Today I found some decent items and decided I wanted to make a trap assasin. But, sweet irony.. Me and my friend got realm down when I was muling my items.

Now I could use almost any trap assa item.
basicly i need the natalya set (i have boots left)
and bartucs or trapclaws (im a lightningtrapper)
vipermagi armor would be nice too.
and i need a belt of some kind. dunno what to use there.
frostburns or other gloves that are good for trapsins :D

Hey sup everyone. Im making a trap sassin this will be my first sassin ever in my diablo career. I just started posting at these boards about 3weeks ago. I just started playing D2 again so im still new to the 1.10patch. I hear trap sassins are great now cus of the synergies so gonna make one. I have a Mf character a necro only have about 400mf. i been finding decent stuff found nats helm/boots bartuc claw raven frost plenty of other things 2. Just decent stuff nothing that would get me anything but good enough to play norm-hell.

Anyway, so far my assassin only has her set weapon and a few character specific amulets, rings and charms, etc that we have crafted or found along the way. I would be interested in the armor if it is still available and I would be willing to contribute some weapons and stuff to your "assassin item fund". I have been holding a bunch of claws and katars and charms and stuff with the intention of starting another character (i guess to kinda experiment with a new build) but I would rather donate them to someone who can use them rather than sell them. I was playing D2 and my assassin (clvl 68, US-east Non-ladder) got killed in the crystaline passage, nightmare, so I save and exit and come back. I click on my corpse and lost two of my items :xx: I lost wyhrmhide boots of chance and a bverrit keep tower shield. I don't know what I'm going to do, those were too of my best itmes and I just feel terrible losing them, when it took me so many hours to get items that AMAZING

If anyone can help me out with the shield and some wyrhide or better boots that would be so great, if someone can give me really good claws that would be good to but mainly i jsut want to replace my shield and boots.

Sorry for posting here again, but I reread my post and noticed it didn't have my account name on it, and for some reason I'm unable to edit the post. So to reiterate:

I am a newb, consider I haven't play for 2 years. I wasn't that rich back in the days anyway.
I am a Light Trapper (since my Martial Assassin sucked).
My friends are all out of good stuff since they been giving stuff to other people. And then I saw this.
My request isn't that great, just a dual pair of +3 trap claws (or is claw/shield better? Someone tell me please). And a +skill trap amulet. And it would be better if there was some MF + skill gear, which I know nothing about.
And I don't know what gears are good for a Trap Assassin, so if anyone could give me some advice I will be thrilled.
I am on USeast, Softcore, Non-Ladder, and my Account name is DarkInfinity.
If anyone can help out a newb then thanks, and thanks to those who are involved in this charity.
And is Trap Charm really that rare? Or is it just me.

Hi, I've been playing D2 LOD for a while, and was about to quit when I realizes I'd never played 'sins. Built a trapper and a kicker from scratch, got them most of the right gear, and I still play them from time to time. I like 'sins, and have been experimenting.

Now I am looking to make a WW-Sin, and was looking for someone to loan/trade me the items I need for it. Someone had offered me a Chaos, skill gc, and perfect dancers for an SOJ, but I couldn't find those items on the guide so I didn't trade him. D'oh!

Yeah, in general I found this forum to be the least helpful of all the forums I've been to, and my response to requests from the forum were either ignored or met with scorn. Realistically, this should be un-stickied and we should all move on. I would say the fund is dead.... which is sad, because I am actually a fairly wealthy player who likes to contribute to stuff like this, I had justnever played 'sins before.

Hi all. I have just started my first trapsin (lvl 21) and I was trying to find some equipment that might be helpful for her. She has mostly junk.

Someone suggested on the forums or in one of the guides that the Angelic set wasn't a bad choice for a baby 'sin. Since I had a few pieces on another char. I thought I would take that advice. While I was swapping the set to my 'sin, however, I was careless and the realms went down. Doh! I got the armor swapped, but lost the ring and the sword (I didn't have the ammy). I don't care about the sword, but without the partial set bonus from the ring or the amulet, the 68 base defense of the armor won't do me much good.

If anyone has a spare they would donate, I would be very grateful. Thanks!

Tip for getting +3 traps claws: shopping at Anya. I got 2 in less than an hour.

Since I quit playing DII I gave away most of my stuff already. I do however have some sin equipment left. And since I played sins the most , and liked them the most , I wouldn't want to let this equipment go to waste on people who sell it for other stuff anyway. :D This stuff is on NL europe. Most of it is from my 1.09 pvp days , so perhaps one of you has a use for it. Here goes.

- 2 ethereal bartucs both with Zod (Zod was in there since 1.09 , never glitched them myself). 188/9 and 191/9. I used them both on my C/C MA sin in 1.09 , and the 191/9 on my hybrid sin.
- Crafted amulet (rune scarab , lvl 89 req). +2 sin / 7% run / 18ar / 4% LL / 20 life / 17% all resist / 16% mf. This amu was used on my hybrid sin aswell.
- Crafted blood sharkskin gloves (Bitter Clutches). +2 MA / 20% IAS / 3% LL / 5% CB / 37% def (54 def) , 20 life , 37% fire resist. You guessed it , on my hybrid. :D

That's about it. I gave the rest away already , but I couldn't give this stuff away to people who never play sins anyway. :D

An Ohm rune is with 2 Ist Um. A Stone of Jordan is worth Ist Mal+. Facets are a slow trade unless perfect (5/5) with Lite, Cold, and Psn (in order of desirability). If you have a 5/5 lite, that would be worth an Ohm. A 5/4, however, will be a slow trader, and you'll be lucky to get Um or Mal for it.

Hey guys. Along with a lot of other people I just started up again after a year and a half and am in need of pretty much anything. I'm not looking for anything great (although they would be greatly appreciated) just some things to make my life easier.

Currently I'm making a lightning trapsin on USEast. Level 25 as of this post but I'll take any reasonable level items. So these are the kinds of things I'm looking for:

+Trap skills claws, circlet, or amulet. Any amount, +3 would be great but It would take a little while to use but honestly anything would be awesome. +mana as an attribute would be amazing since I'm trying not to put anything in energy and I'm drinking mana pots like crazy

+Assassin skills items, same as above but overall skill instead of trap, This would be great help too but probably less common.

+skills, any other amulet/helm/whatever that gives +skills I could really use.

+Mana items. Pretty much anything. If anyone has items that add a good amount to mana I'd love to get them. Frostburns would be amazing, but really anything for around a level 30 would be awesome.

A bartuc's would be great of course :) but I don't think that would happen.

I've got a new assassin im building up. Based around Whirlwind.

Only problem. I need Chaos of course.... Not that big of a problem, seeing as how I have the runes to make it. I just haven't found a suitable claw to stick them in, i was wondering if I could get some help on that.

I don't know much about claws as i've never played an assassin before, so i dunno what can come on them. I assume they can come with skill modifiers like all the other class specific items?

I am more than willing to donate to the item fund with Natalya's Armor and I have a +3 shadow disciplines amulet too, and some various other items.

I wasn't expecting to use this - I prefer to find my own items, but....

Fighting in nightmare act4 tonight my char had just killed diablo with a full team. I pick up some rare polearm. I open my inventory to check it out, and notice somehow I magically had a pair of gloves in my hands - without me clicking on anything.

Seeing I didn't have room for the gloves in my inventory, and knowing no good gloves dropped from diablo, I discard them without a second thought. Until they hit the ground, and notice them as being an identified Laying of Hands. My Laying of Hands (somehow, still haven't figured it out). Well, someone else instantly picked them up, of course, and no one fessed up, not surprisingly. So I'm out my best pair of gloves.

Not that I expect anyone to fund an item as good as them, but if anyone has the urge strike them, and has Laying of Hands on an ---expansion hardcore ladder (USWest)--- character, I would love to have mine replaced. I'm not asking for anything more or less (although less would be better than nothing I suppose; it still wouldn't be the same). I just want to get my character's power (exp. versus demons) back to where it was. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Closest thing to a "trap claw" is fire lizzards talon. Dont have one sorry. You could also check anya for +3 to traps magic claws. I saw one just the other day. You don't really need to worry about normal/exceptional/elite version of this claw i wouldn't think - you just need the mod...

Well I decided to build an mf sorc to start, but we all know that assassins are the best class, so my second character is a TS/DTail with a side in Phoenix Strike Assassin. Any and all gear is greatly appreciated, even if its something you would normally sell to an npc. Highest Priority are probably good claws, with boots in second.

armour: boneflesh
shield: lidless wall
ring: manald
weapon: rare 26-50 dmg
other ring, amy, helm, boots, belt: crapy rares (stuff listed is better)

as you can see evne crapy stuff would be better then this junk.

I have a few friends who have some decent items that their gonna let me have but none of them have assassin related items, such as claws, charms, ammys, etc.- so anything that yall would be willing to give out would be great!

Some of you may remember me (extensive uber-trist guide the day of 1.11), but that's not important. I just started playing again and decided to make a nice martial arts assassin as my first new char, but that means I have absolutely no gear. If someone could throw some stuff my way, I'd love them

Wow! Same story, different name. I've started a Sith (BF/MB). I've got crappy gear. Right now I'm at lvl 50 and just using what I find. I've got Bonesnap and some cheap rares for gear. I'd like to get Nats Armor and Helm, Shadow Dancer boots, and of course a Lightsabre.

There will have to be some juggling between style and substance. I think the Nats Armor is more practical, but Corpsemourn is the blackest armor in the game. Also, the Lightsabre is of course the weapon of choice, but a Grief Phase Blade would be much more destructive. I'm also thinking that Jade and Bartuks on switch so that I can make the sword "appear" for combat.

Thank you in advance to anyone who wishes to help see how this build turns out. Otherwise, it's chipped gem runs till I can create enough Pgems to trade for decent runes to trade for decent equipment.

Hey everyone, this is my first time back to d2 in about a year and a half. Since my old chars have expired I have not a pgem to my name. I recently started a sin and it would be really awesome it if anyone could spare me anything. I think I'm going to spec mostly into the martial tree, with some cameo apperances in the other two. I have doubts on any help or replies since this post seems huge and now spiraling into a bottomless pit of no one cares but never the less i am desperate. I just started playing again -as soon as i heard there was a actual update- and all my accounts have been wiped from inactivity. Im not expecting much but ive made my Trapper assa again and i would appreciate ANY items, im using stuff ive found about cow lv's. Im on europe ladder, and today i dropped my shaeled bartucs to tease some players, unfortunately the game lagged and i was unable to pick it up, hell i did'nt even knew i'd actually dropped it. Now i would really appreciate if anyone would give me a (free) bartucs since it seems that no1 picks them up anymore, and those who do want 453534543 ists for them.

Hi,
I've recently started playing the game of Diablo II after a long break off. I think the last time I plaed was when the 1.08 or 1.09 patches were out. I've lost all sense of pricing and general item information(Note; my brother also uses this account so there may be posts made from a much sooner time.)

My first character started is an assassin. I've read around this forum for a cookiecutter of sorts because I've no idea how to begin. I eventually chose the path of a lightning trapper w/ fireblast.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with free help and trapsin? gear.

I have a wee request if anyone can help.....I have the full Natayla set - but just lost the claw (natylas mark) i selected anya to "personalise" it and never got it back :( does anyone have one i can have - i have quite a lot of itemas i'm happy to offer up for the fund too but really need help for this !!

Cheers, I lost my characters due to the expiration three month thing. Non-ladder US east player, I don't want anything like nats, just something that will get me through leveling. Thinking along the early lines of sigons or something, a good but not worth much yellow text katar for a low level, something cheap like that. Like the items people used to give up when they mfed but didn't find what they wanted, or found something but didn't want/need it. Hammydowns! Complications is my account name, so if you have anything low-leveled it would be apreciated. Even gold will do~
