View Full Version : Bestr Druid for PvM in Hell
Hi,
I was reading the strategy guide for a wind druid, and it sounds good. What do you guys do about characters in hell who are immune to physical? Is it possible for me to max out my wind skills, and then also max out armegeddon? Pretty much im looking for the best build for PvM in hell.
Thanks.

You're better off maxing the wind synergies and doing oak last. 'Geddon won't cut it unless you put nice synergies, which you can't if you're maxing wind skills. For PI's you can get a merc with Reaper's Toll to decrepify for you. It works nicely.

Don't do it. I have done cold druid with armagedon and they weren't strong enaugh. Better max all cold spells except blast. I put many points into oak because otherwise he is weak end tend to die all the time.
hurricane=half cold half physical
tornado=100%physical
so you're 2 tree.
for immunes: what squirrel said
As a necro, even when I amp a immune to phys, it still takes quite a while to bring those bastards down.
Is there no other way to take down a cold/phys immune?

really how often do you find these monsters .... i rarely found them and i went all over the place ... is it soooooo bad to run every once in awhile?

At Arrea summit, hurricane skill is described as cold damage. No mention of physical damage.

I read somewhere a while ago that the Druid's skills Hurricane and Tornado get nerfed in NM and Hell difficulties. Is this true?
Oh no, elements suck. The only thing you can think of is a werewolf with 20 Fury, 5 feral Rage, 12 Werewolf, 10+ Lycanthropy, 20 oak/heart, and as you are nearing mid nightmare, start working towards armageddon with its other synergies. And believe me, you will have an awesome Druid thats only flaw will maybe against physical Immune. In that case you whip out some ***** *** weapon with high elemental damage and make sure you hireling has a good magic weapon and watch them die!!!!

I've never noticed this with my Wind Druid. Do you remember where you read it from?

I want to say diabloii.calcon.net, but I'm not totally sure.
That, and the strategy guides there are somewhat outdated, so I don't know if it is accurate or not.

Though you are right that they are rare, I try to kill as many uniques as possible and the possibilty for a cold/phys immune is there.
So I take it in those instances, the best bet is to run? :)
yea run ahaha i think the only cold/physical immune that i found on a regular basis is a unique in the halls of anguish i think .... he popped up about once every 10 or so runs.

Hmmm, well I will ask a good friend of mine who's Wind Druid is currently clvl 98 - he plays it 24/7 so he will know.

So u go fury build with armageddon. So in wolf form, u can cast armageddon also? Any point into armor?
Can u change to wolf form and cast hurricane? or it's only for armageddon?

How is a Wind Druid overpowered? I've been wanting to make one, but thought they were underpowered.

Overpowered = Wearing Enigma and using either Heart of the Oak or Breath of the Dying. ;)
