Upgrading?

I have only heard of this concept recently...

Ok, so I browsed online and found this recipe:

Lum + Pul + Perfect Emerald = Elite Version of Weapon

So, what EXACTLY would this do to my Bartuc's Greater Talons other than make them do more damage (as Runic Talons I am assuming).

It's a couple cube recipes:

Ral + Sol + P. Emerald + Normal Unique Weapon = Exceptional Version of Weapon

Lum + Pul + P. Emerald + Exceptional Unique Weapon = Elite Version of Weapon

Ort + Amn + P. Sapphire + Normal Rare Weapon = Exceptional Version of Weapon

Fal + Um + P. Sapphire + Exceptional Rare Weapon = Elite Version of Weapon

Tal + Shael + P. Diamond + Normal Unique Armor = Exceptional Version of Armor

Ko + Lem + P. Diamond + Exceptionaly Unique Armor = Elite Version of Armor

Ral + Thul + P. Amethyst + Normal Rare Armor = Exceptional Version of Armor

Ko + Pul + P. Amethyst + Exceptionaly Rare Armor = Elite Version of Armor

*Note that the Exceptional Unique --> Elite Unique recipes are ladder only.

Edit: You posted as I was typing this up. The only thing it will do to your Bartucs is change the base damage that they do and the required str and dex. They will keep all mods on them. Because of the greater requirements, it might not be advantageous to upgrade them.

Ok, cool. So, does this add mods too, or just enhance the damage or defense?

It just changes it from a Greater Talon to a Runic Talon. The base damage and the requirements go up, nothing else changes.

Ok, because someone in another forum mentioned that a Ribcracker that he upgraded got a CB bonus after the upgrade.
