Hardcore Pally Question

i recently started hardcore on ladder, my first character i made being a paladin. I heard that frost zealots were one of the best for hardcore. i was wondering if there were any other alternatives. i also was wondering if this was a good build for hardcore pvm.... :scratch:

Holy Shield-Max
Holy Freeze-Max
Defiance-Max
Resist Cold-Max

and to split the rest with sacrifice and zeal. let me know if this seems like a decent build that i could get through hell with, atleast in a party. all responses are appreciated.

The Defiance synergy isn't necessary as 75% block + holy shield (boosts total defense) and some decent armor/armor pieces should give you an overall chance to be hit of less than 15%.

Frost/Shock Zealots always max out zeal because the lack of fanaticism aura gives huge AR problems. Unless you have an ITD weapon, zeal has to be maxed for the huge AR boost.

alright, thanks, i just thought defiance would give me a huge boost on defense. But would u suggest frost zealot or tesladin for hardcore pvm?

If you're looking for a build to get you started, and which can kill (and MF) at a good speed without top items, I think I'd suggest a hammerdin, but a zealot is a certainly viable alternative, if you don't mind going slower

I find hammerdins rather boring. I've had one before and it was just to easy. Thanks for your input though.
