Buying from stores

I just had a thought, since enigma and hoto are so expensive how many ppl have resorted to online stores for runes or at the very least thought about using stores, lol I know I have. Let in hear your opinions.

D2 is about the road getting to all the items one wants not about getting them directly. It just ruins the game if you have everything, I know after I got my enigma and botd (as legit as one can get em).

Enigma is 2 rune or 2 x290 or 2x 3.20.20

HOto is 1 Rune for a 39-40 and less the one for any other resist..

hmm well i think there is nothing wrong with the people who buy items, but i think that if you abuse that, and you buy all the godly stuff then whats the point in playing, theres nothing wrong in buying stuff to help you get started like stuff you can trade for mf stuff and good stuff so you can get started if you are new but if you buy all the godly stuff then thats just abusive and not fun and you ruin d2. to me there is no other game in its genre like d2, i mean all the games like d2 i hav eplayed dont have what im looking for, the items like uniques and stuff that just rules. anyway the only thing d2 is missing are some updated graphics, but this is not really the point of the thread.

I'd suggest just playing the game. HoTo is nice and fancy, but not all that. Enigma is also nice; but you can makeup in other ways. Be different.

I saw in a thread a earlier this week here, where a guy had a scepter that was like +2 to pally +2 to conviction +2 BH or something like that with 20% FCR, that kicked the crap outta HoTo IMO.

Pickup the rares, do some runs, you'll be fine.

I started this game only 6-8 months back at most; I have 8 chars decked out with nice gear (nothing godly like BoTD) but enough to whoop some serious arse. I have 5 anni's 4 Ists ATM. Last night I did about 50 pindel runs (I kill Eldrich 1st then pindle) all I got were 3 charms, a 7% mfsc and 2 worthless GC's, I will now reroll those GC's until I (hopefully) get one of those nice skillers with + to life that I trade for more runes. Turn those runes into equipment and so forth.

With all the dup'ing that has gone on, the new Andy bots, and BS like that - it has done what couterfitting would do to any nation (which was done in WW2 BTW); made those things of high value - worth very little. One day I hope to find a Zod; not because a Zod is worth that much; but becuase its the rareist (or one of) things in the game. That would be sweet!

yeah those stores have horrible pricing, plus the stupid spambots that come into games makes me wanna cry T_T.

It's kinda funny that Enigma (2 runes) sells for $20 + at items stores, when the runes sell on Ebay for ~$3.00 Each. HOTO costs $15 + when it only costs $3 to make it. If people are going to resort to buying items, they could at least use a little common sense.

I'd be afraid of a ripoff from Ebay though, even htough Im Ebaying my acct when I quit.
