i was looking around at some of the guides and assassin skills, and i didnt really like them that much, and i was wondering if it would work if you made a pvp assassin based around venom and blade furry
maybe this has been done before but i didnt see anything like it while glancing over the guides already here
i was planning on using nats set, and put 3 poison facets in the armor, and one in the helm and claw, and the basic idea was that i would max venom and blade furry, then to duel you would cast cloak of shadows, and then throw blade furry at them while they couldnt see you, and when it hit it would do enough poison damage to make the enemy run away, then you could use dragon flight to teleport next to them and finish them off with tiger strike or something
i have no idea if this would work or if there is already a guide for it because i dont have much expirence working with assassins, so please post your suggestions/critique

Bladefury has AR issues making it very hard to hit anyone with decent defense who isn't running. It's also a bit hard to aim so it's very hard to hit anyone running. I would not base any build around blade fury as a primary attack though it's useful at times.
If you want to do something different, how about a trapper using hand of justice. Once you mind blast them, the holy fire aura will cause people to go into hit recovery allowing you to more easily trap them. That's something different I have been wanting to try...

i kinda wanted to make a character with massive poison damage and i never like necros, what if u just used veonm with tiger strike/dragon flight, and then socketed my nats set with 5 poison facets, maybe 6 for 1 in the shield, and then got alot of poison charms/shadow disciplines skill charms, would it be effective in pvp? id want it to do enough poison damage and physical damage to be effective in pvp

Why not make a Kicksin?, DFlight/DTalon combo, makes use of the poison you want and the Blade Shield option, it can be relatively effective. Additionally you could make a WW'sin - much more expensive and very item dependent but its more effective than a Kicksin.

so do you think it would make a very effective pvp sin if i loosely followed the ww assassin guide, and then used venom/charms to add massive poison damage?
so do you think it would make a very effective pvp sin if i loosely followed the ww assassin guide, and then used venom/charms to add massive poison damage? The greater chunk of damage comes from the OW's inflicted. The WW'sin guide uses Venom as well doesnt it? the only thing you would change would be your charms, which is down to personal preference anyway ;).
And yes WW'sin is effective, though i'm biased because I only play assassin's in PvP :D.
Edit:Voide's WW'sin guide here is the one I refer to

You are going to have problems in PvP with Venom.
1. Venom resets your timer for all poison to .4 seconds. Which means that poison quits doing damage very quickly.
2. Because of the damage timer, adding additional poison charms doesn't help, they just become insignificantly small amounts of damage. -- You are probably better off with some other form of damage charm. (I"m not talking about Poison Facets however, those can still add to your damage and might be beneficial)
3. Because of the timer most of the tactical advantage of the "poison then run for a while approach" doesn't work. They just don't stay poisoned long enough.
4. Poison damage over time will not compare with other sources of damage you can aquire.
5. To boot, you'll have to be constantly hitting your opponent to do poison damage.
So, when you think about poison and venom damage in pvp, think of it as icing on the cake, not the cake. Its more like a small extra source of damage that the other party probably isn't well resisted against. So I'm not saying don't use Venom, but venom really isn't a strategy in and of itself.
Now that said, Blade Fury isn't much of a PvP skill because you have to be standing still to make use of it. Its got no AR bonuses, so it can make it hard to hit characters with decent defense.
I think you might be able to use Blade Sentinel not as a death spell, but tactically to scare people. I think using Blade Shield is a must in melee assassin builds, simply because its extra damage, that once you cast will just happen-- just don't expect it to be a lot. Venom will add some damage to both of these skills.
Now what would have been really cool is if all the Necro Poison Skills and Druid Poison skills were synergies for Venom. Because a VENOM runeword claw and a carrion ring would give you ridiculous bonus damage.

in pvp venom and ow does the good combo ...you can read my guide for more variants the just plain wwsin... its kinda the same build but you'll have DT on top of it gives you more flexibilty
and using poison charms aint good idea as mentioned here above
