So...What now?

Well, I've grown tired/bored of my .09 v/t. I dont know if he was so great in .09, but i assume he's even worse now in 1.10.

I'm torn between remaking him for 1.10 or making a whole new paladin type; mainly a Lib. or a Mage. Whatever I remake will be set for clan-honor rules, with some pub dueling mixed in between. That means no builds based around Beast, Doom, Lacerator, and all those evil evil things :surprise:

I'm mainly asking for personal experience or advice based on facts. If I remake my V/T the most i would realistically level him to would be no more than 87 or so. My current V/T is lvl 95 and was made in .09 and every single skill and stat point was spent in .09.

If I remake will its life/dmg/potential be the same; theoretically I should have more life with a new build since i'll have more vit, etc. But if I level only to 87-88 wont that cancel out this fact, so it'll be the same as having a .09 lvl 95 than a lvl 87ish 1.10 V/T?

If anyone has remade with pretty much the exact same equip they had in .09 and have come out more successful than expected, or have failed miserably, I'd like to know. I prefer V/T's to any other character I've ever played, so i'd much rather take another stab at one if it's worth it. If not then i'll attempt to make a mage/lib.

Any input is welcome. Things I missed, info I should know, and as I said, personal experience remaking paladins in 1.10. (Mainly manner v/t's).

Edit: If anyone cares/knows me i'm SexyMatrix on USWest NL. My rough stats are @ 95; 2360ish life no CTA, 2600-2800 smite dmg, 2100-2200 foh dmg while in pal v pal set up. 460ish vit (w/ items), 140ish str (base), 110ish dex (base). Typical .09 skill set up. I'll look up anythign else when i get on d2 if need be.

A .09 V/T is still pretty viable in 1.10

Although, I'd suggest making a vanquisher or a liberator.... they're extremely fun.

so so wealthy ==> V/T
not so wealthy ==> Liberator

I've seen a couple good mages on USWEST. LordDrift, Vicious_Preist and Tidycat are all pretty good and are commonly in Temple (Assuming it's ever up).

I know .09 v/ts are still quite good on this patch, but my question was if a slightly lower levl 1.10 v/t will surpass my ..09 lvl 95.

I thought my next choice after v/t would be mage, not because of the wealth issue, but a few people have told me v/t's and mages have almost the exact same gear and charms, with the exeptions of a better wiz spike and perhaps HOTO.

I suppose i could pm drew, but i'd like to hear other opinions too. Thanks.

I remade my V/T for 1.10 and I can't say it was a big difference. I ended up having like 100 more life and a little bit more FoH damage. If you only want to take it to lvl 87 I wouldn't do it. It's hard to have good FoH damage if you aren't willing to go to lvl 95+. That is, unless you're taking the more templar oriented route.

I suppose I'll stick with what I have now then, since it'll make little or no difference. With the way i level it'll take forever to even get to 87.

Well as you probably know I am Master-Onion. I've rebuilt my V/t (though I'd never scrap Onion), and with stats as messed up as yours, I'd say it does a hell of a lot better. It has more life and is more designed for the patch, but I intend to play for a while longer. I'm probably going to turn him into a museum when I finally leave this game, but for me, it's much easier to win when you have more life. =/
