Well, i've been MFing with my trapsin for awhile now. I really enjoy playing with that char and she makes MFing fun.

I've mostly been around travi+pindle+shenk i nightmare but wanted better drops so now i do shenk+boss above shenk+pindle in hell. The drops arent that good (about 400mf) so I do some runs in the ancient tunnels in lost city where i've found some good stuff. IK parts and Bul Kathor (spelling?) ring. But yet, those were a lot of runs and most of the time i got crap.

Where do you recommend a lightning trapsin to MF at? Wish I could do travi in hell but they are always lightning immune.

*EDIT*

The reason I post it here, is because we HC players are aware of the resists and gear and cant boost our MF like SC players. If I post this at the general forum i'll prolly get a lot of silly answers :)

the guy above shenk is eldritch.

in nm places like the pit and ancient tunnels don't have anything special. in hell those places have a high mlvl meaning they can drop really high items. in nm they dont have this, so dont bother running those areas.

for nm stick to eldritch/shenk, pindle is ok but not as good as eld/shenk IMO. You could also do meph but i find eld/shenk to be much faster/more profitable.

eld/shenk aren't act bosses so they dont drop a unique or rare every time but they do have the chance to. it just takes some patience to get these guys to spit something out.

I ment ancient tunnels in hell, not nightmare. Basicly, I can most of the stuff in hell as long as they arent lightning immune. Sorry if i wasnt clear :)

for a trappasin, seems like you're already running the best spots. meph and andy are just too long to get to without tele. So s/e/p and the ancient tunnels are good choices. The only problem with the tunnels (i love running them with my sorc cause no cold immunes) is that there aren't a ton of bosses. You could try the pit... but those archers are li, right? Could also run the tower if your merc is good enough. Tons of bosses there (though again, some light immunes).

So just keep doing what you're doing... the drops will come.

Besides what was mentioned, I'd also recommend Andy. She can have some pretty sweet drops in hell too. If you are looking for a soj, someone posted the odds of her dropping in nm, and I believe they were pretty good.

I have found the best drops from meph so far but a run lasts about 20 min(ouch) I have bout 550 mf and eldrich never drops uni. but i have cleared above him in frigid for some good drops. Of 500 mf runs I have yet to find any really super drops.

Try all the caves in a5.
Lots of bosses in those, as well as the evil urns

I'll have to agree with that!
Did 10 runs today with my 361% mf sorc, and ... soj!

On the way, I found 15% tal's belt also!!
So now I have 362% mf!

my usual lvl 90 MF Barb runs contend with :

1. Act 3 : Hell Mephi
2. Act 4 : City of the Damned wpt ( Plenty bosses/champions )
3. Act 5 : Pindle/Shenk/Eldritch/Thresh/Worldkeep wpt
4. ACt 1 : The pit lvl 1/2

This usually takes around 30-40 mins max... if there are Gloams at Worldkeep wpt it takes longer... my res are all at 48... cant find any better all res charms to supplement current stats.

From my experience, speed is more important than who you kill. Find yourself a nice pile of non-lightning immune creatures and blaze through them. With my Javazon, I typically start at the Black Marsh wp, clear most of or all of the Marsh, then the Hole (level 80 very few Lightning Immunes), then head to the Outer Cloister wp and on to the Pit. Having the Black Marsh on your map also makes it easier to spot which road leads to the Pit, saving you that crucial 10 seconds.

I agree. Speed (quickness of run) is the essence. Figure out the quickest types of runs for your char and stick with them. My 91 necro only does Pindle and Eld, because they are fast and somewhat safe.

With some patience, Eld has dropped Leviathan, SOJ, Medusa's, 2 x LS, 2 x B-star, Jade Talon amongst others. Pindle just dropped Windforce the other day and Wraith Flight about 10 runs before that.

You have to have patience though and dedication to doing the runs. Don't expect a unique every third run.

I experienced that the pit had a lot of LI, but i've only visited it once.

But i'll surely try outruslan 74s road and the one you mention full_circle. I did 3 meph rounds in nightmare before work and all i got was sigons belt :P

Continute with Pindleskin and run Eldritch and Shenk maybe when you're bored. However, I feel that those two bosses are for those who can't MF in better places. If you have Death Sentry, the pit it really easy and has plenty of bosses. There usually aren't many archers anyway.

My javazon found that pit runs were the best lvl 86 place to get experience.

Ancient Tunnels and the other lvl 86 places (mausoleum? etc) were always full of lightning immunes. I'm surprised you didn't find this to be the case in the tunnels.

Pit runs have LI archers, but that's about it. Everything else falls easily under lightning damage.

Andy runs can be good too, only those ball-shooting dog-things are LI, and they are pretty weak attackers - so I typically just run by them.

And a friend of mine was doing countess runs with a javazon (killing everything rather than tele-sorc) and turned up some very nice gear, runes, and charms (shako, wiz-spike, pul runes, etc) by killing things on the way to the countess.

Have to agree with you, that you find good stuff on teh way to places. Thats what I often do actually. I found bul khathos (spelling?) ring with 4% leech in the tunnels from a boss there. And eldritch actually dropped a Gheeds fortune yesterday for me, but only a 22% :(

Anyways, the tunnel do have a few LI (all the archers) but they are easy to fix since there are a lot of other mobs together with them and the DS takes care of it. The problems i had in the pit, was that there were only LI monsters. Not a normal one to kill :P
