View Full Version : PvP Avenger Damage or Accuracy?

As of right now I'm going with the base vengence and max synergies and base conviction.
I stacked up with offensive grand charms with anni I have level 16 conviction base. I will eventually put 9 points in there for the 25 max for pvp.
My question is should I put the rest of my points in when conviction and resist synergies are maxed.
A. Vengence where I can get both damage and ar bonus but more mana cost
B. Salvation where I can get more resist all and more vengence damage but no ar bonus
C. Put the rest in defiance synergy so I don't get hit as much.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Sup bro, I'm on vacation at the moment but I would say that conviction should take care of your AR worries plus angelics will make it much easier for you to hit, I suggest you should try to maximize your damage on the fastest and highest damage causing you can get your hands on. You still have that 400+ ED monster on you?

What good is damage if you don't hit your target? Conviction should take care of this by reducing your targets defense...but I would check your character screen when you have a target locked in conviction. This way you can see what your percentage chance to hit is. If it is 80% or higher, then go for damage. If it is lower, then perhaps you should consider using a Blessed Aim merc or raising your AR in some other fashion....

PVM I have no problems I'm talking about PVP at this point. PVM I'm rocking pretty good with a hf merc

Well...for PvP u need a really high AR. Some feel that even with conviction you will still need an AR of over 15K. Some think that with conviction this is a waste, but I like to have a VERY high chance to strike my targets.

Yes AR is important thats why my Rare phase has a fools mod and I use the angelic set of ring and ammy. That combined with enchant from demon limb I already have over 13k AR at level 74.
Conviction is for the lower resist not the lower defense since it only lowers based defense not ed defense. Thats why I was able to kill a necro in two his cause of his low life/low defense.

It sounds to me like you are on the right track. Your choice of the rare phase blade is an excellent decision as well. The mods on this weapon are great...and the speed is also very good. I do however like the option of using a FAMINE runeword for the avenger build...on paper that is. Have you tried this? Does it work well?

Where is the AR? Also you can't put this in a phase so your best bet is a caddy and even then your not getting 8fps vengence without sacrificing alot of gear. I can see this in a nice caddy but would have to change alot of gear for it to fly.

Well I'm using my phase on here but it isn't a 400 monster. You can't spawn 300 plus ed rare and have fools mod on the same weapon. The rare was 269 ed fools mod 5 min 11 max damage 30 ias.
I slapped a legit 31 ed 8 min jewel I had in mules and I get now
300ed
Fools Mod
13 min damage
11 max damage
Swiftness mod
If the thing was etheral it would be probably one of the top weapons on the east.

yep ur correct.
that would be top, but phase can't come in etherel, its already indistructable.
i currently have a Elegant blade
318ed (cruel)
Fools
40% ias (quickness mod)
something to do with demons....

:thumbsup: this is what i would use on my avenger if i ever made one. Sure it doesn't have elemental damage, but hey, u can't make a famine out of phase.
i would use this or Eth Zod B.Star for a avenger.

That's the best reason I have to imbue eth dimensional blades...:)
@LovelyGods: have you socketed the elegant blade? It's not possible to have a 318 %ED + fools

:D just like Kirby understanding what I was saying before I will go out on a limb and say he put some sort of ed jewel in it with probably other mods on it as well :D
