try a Blade fury sin. Use any 1 handed weapon you want. just about any type of armor, but if you follow the BFSIN guide posted in this forum, you WILL have to's of fun.

Mine is at lvl 55 now, & I own just about everthing in NM. best part is I am using non sin armor & hexfire for weapon.
If they get too close, I turn on BoS & wack away.

Make SURE that you get to try Cloak of Shadows. Though there is little gratification to be had in blinding an entire group of enemies, it is too fun to pass up!

Also, Martial Artists are very fun!

Dude, send me an email at lpbro@hotmail.com.
There is a way in single player to be able to make a high-level character really quickly without wasting time leveling. Although it's not real kosher to talk about on the forums, it is a great way to experiment with new builds to see if you like them. If you do, you can take them to Battle.net and wreak havoc!

I would say just to do a Tiger Strike/Dragon Tail build because I have one and its lots of fun, but you said you didn't want a cookie-cutter build. So, I would suggest this:

It's a hybrid assassin. I cant say that I've gotten one of them very far, but it does look like lots of fun and right up your alley .
