Why, oh why, does inspiration always strike at the most inopportune times?

I was tired and bored tonight, so of course at around 1 in the morning inspiration struck and I was stuck writing for a good fourty-five minutes. Tomorrow is review day, so no exams, but still. It's 2 in the morning and I have to get up at 6 :-/.

This happen to anyone else? The whole "I know, I'll get inspired at [insert random inconvenient time here]!" Is it an extension of Murphy's law? Someone else's law? Am I all alone on this Earth with my unique "troubles?"

I get inspired to do/build things during the worst possible time, sparring practice. It takes true skill to fight someone and think about a new way to produce electricity. . .if only I could get the damn parts.

The muses are hard taskmasters, if you ignore them they will abandon you in your time of need, then tease you at odd moments. You cannot command them but you can tame them by training yourself to know when they will come. If only Mnemosyne came more often with her daughters things would be so much easier, unfortunately she comes and goes even more erratically. When she does appear with one of the Nine that piece of creativity can remain embedded in the mind for years and years, in itself a blessing and a curse.

Here is my intake on it. One time I watched a porn film with Jill Kelly in it where she played a muse who came to earth to inspire a struggling musician. The porn was good but the story line sucked, then again if I wanted a storyline I could have read a book. Have a nice day.
