Hey all,
Its been about 6 months since I have done this, so its time for the "to do" and "needs improvement" thread.
First, guides and faqs. What are we lacking? Does anyone want to write some guides? Do we need to consolidate or update anything? Are there any guides or other important information missing in our stickies? What guides need to be in the SC (or need updates)?
Next, improvements. Any suggestions of things we need or ideas?

I do not see any thing that needs to be changed or up dated. Maybe a druid dueling game name like what the pallys and about too be barb forums are doing. Any buddy else have any ideals?

I would like to add my "Legs (my nickname) - PoisonStorm Wind Shifter" druid to the guides. I can write a formal guide for him ASAP.
Updates: I think we need some sort of forum rule sticky and formal abbreviation list for people who have a hard time reading things like FCR or CBF in posts.

Hmm i would also wanna see a Fury/Rabies Hybrid Guide. The one stickied doesn't really help me much. :scratch:

I was thinking of writing one of these ... but who knows.
We need an aldurs guide, variations and builds etc. A gazillion threads are created about this set. (well not really but you get the point)
Also we used to have a list of viable pvp 1 hand weapons, does it still exist? If not I feel we need another.

This forum needs other Mods to quit unstickying TheDragoon's Calculators, that's what we need.
Guides would be great, but some of the better ones just get thrown aside. Updates would be nice, but see previous sentence. I might be interested in updating an old guide and creating a new one, but if it's just going to sit in the forum collecting dust, I won't waste my time.
As for general rules, there are rules already, so why waste sticky space? If someone wants to know abbreviations, then they can ask. Something like CBF is something you should know, and if you don't, chances are it was mentioned on an item. Look up the item for something that would fit CBF. Anything difficult can be found in a forum compiliation.
An explanation of artic blast and why it won't work.

I am working on my new huntermentalist and am looking to write an update the great Fenris' guide on the subjet. As for the aldur's set I agree if I had the set I would write one but so far I think I have only the weapon and helm from 1.1 so if someone has to lend let me know.

I think i could write a pretty viable aldurs guide ..... to bad i dont play anymore and my writing would be based on past experience .... we shall see.

That's what I have been working on for the past two days. I have a clvl 80 druid named Flame_Strike with a very interesting setup.
Ormus robes: 15% Fire
RavenLore: -19% +25 res 139% ID
Eth Earth Shifter
Gea's Amulet: +3 to elemental
Stormtrek boots
Arachnoids Belt
Still working on viable ring choices.
As far as equipment, the res I get from it is very very low. Also the high str requirement for the maul eats into my life, plus only a couple hundred absorb from cyclone.
Skill point setup:
20 volcano
20 boulder
20 fissure
20 arm
1 arctic
1 cyclone
1 twister
1 tornado
1 hurricane
1 oak sage
Putting points into Firestorm each clvl gained.
Something very interesting would be an arctic blast build centered around the +14 to arctic blast sword. What exactly is the bug with this again Rauth??
By the way: I'm going for a max skillpoint pure Fire druid but it will be very easy to kill from low life/res/cyclone. This build will be more to see how strong the fire tree can get, I've already seen the numbers on calculators but haven't experienced its effectiveness in gameplay yet. Oh, Rauth, do you want to test out this guy's strength now? hehe, he's a site to see since he looks like a naked orange fast running pigmy with a maul and a very nasty habit of playing with fire.

First of all, a druid can only get plus 3(or something) to artic blast from that sword. Second of all, even a lvl 40 artic blast with full synergies would suck because it is bugged so it only does about 1/3 listed damage. This kind of question is exactly why there should be an explanation stickied. I think I've seen it asked around 3 times in a few weeks.
That the same druid you tried on me earlier? Come duelin with me sometime so I can see it in action against someone without cyclone and 90 fire res.

I just need to test it out.... it's not optimal. I read on Diabloii Tomb of Knowledge webpage that you can get up to +14... oh well, that place has a lot of bogus info on their site but it's a lot easier to read than the way d2.net has their unique info set up...

Arctic blast has an synergy error in the files, so that it gets about 28% damage of what it should do. So 100 listed damage does only 28 damage. That's all there is to it and it's not worth a separate sticky or so.
The current sticky can simply be updated/edited with a minor FAQ section in which you can put quirks like this or tips like "why FCR is also important for timed skills". The guide link descriptions should be expanded just towards which are the main attack skills since that's not always 100% clear.
Maybe also add somekind of damage range that the average person should look for in a druid in order to get through hell without too many problems.

I would like to see my hybrid wolf guide in the SC before I quit.
I know it is written in an unusual style, but thats I think how it should be.
It gets positive feedback from all around the world through e-mails.

IIRC alain made a complete list of all the abbreviations you could come up with.. I think it was in the Comm forum.
Earthshifter* and it gives +7 to elemental, theres no synergies involved with that.
Expanded weapons guide for melee druids. Too many questions about This > this ?
Tar and feather electricblue everyday till his Summoner guide is done.
Though, some of you have seen my mad guide skills ( :rolleyes: ), I'm not prone to making anything druid as of now.

Yeah, thats what I meant. Just as long as its in there somewhere.
Crazy idea, having a FAQ for the frequently asked questions. That just might work. Go back through the last 100 posts or so, answer the easy common questions, and throw them in the current sticky. Aldurs, artic blast, weapon comparison questions, and anything else could all be in one medium sized FAQ.

Good point, but at least this way we can just say "read the sticky" instead of typing out 4 more sentences explaining the answer to the overly asked question.
Is there a need for a fury ww melee druid pvp guide? .... if so i might make one.

I'm pretty sure it was Elly, which is why I haven't reposted it (I backup all the important posts after the forum crash).
Not sure how to handle this. I feel strongly it should be allowed and I have been halfheartedly told it was ok in the past, yet 2+ deletions were not coindcidence.

It probably gets deleted because of all the links on them, but it isn't like it just happened to get links recently. That thing has been around for awhile and nobody ever had a problem with it, which is why I didn't think it was one of the "Big 3" who deleted it.

Its on the way (believe me:) ).
I ll first prepare something about rabies and how to make poison length reduction work on rabies and move on to the summoner guide.
And I think I will find the time soon, I quit my job.
