My crazy idea

Having a-massed quite a bit on ladder and having found the perfect fire elementalist helm (3 socket +3 Armageddon, +3 volcano,+3 bear) I have decided to make an elementalist similar to the wind druid just for kicks. The idea is the same basic ideas of a wind druid except there won't be a spell I can spam as much. If anyone has ever tried this I would appreciate some feed back.

ross (bob_themadcow) would have a better idea, since he posted a guide, i dont remember if it was before or after the forum crash, but yeah, you may want to try look for that.

i would think a FE would use volcano/fissure mainly, perhaps firestorm if monsters are gathered in a nice small area for you to burn, and of course having armageddon up.

Great helm! this way you'll only need 1 point on the summoning tree, oak sage cause you egt grizzly for free :D

Yes, there have been a few guides, including one by our fuzzy mod, Garbad, on the workings of fire skills.

I'm guess that helm will become a Delirium here soon :drool:

i got half way through writing a guide, but then kinda semi-retired from D2, the forums crashed and I lost my backup copy. I really don't care enough any more or start over and complete it. I just tell anyone who asks now, and thats rare enough that i don't get irritated.

I would say Fire Druids aren't similar to wind druids at all, mostly because you're mixing you damage types more and can't spam anythnig really.

That is a nice helm though, free grizzly is damned nice :D

Personally I don't like Geddon. I didn't like it ion 1.09, I don't like it now.

I guess you'd max MB, Fissure, Volcano and Geddon, along with OS.

I was just thinking, an old school shaman back in 09 was owning everyone with volcana. I just some how remembere that when I was mowing the yard.

well casting a volcano, changes the terrain a little. :O
but yeah... thats kinda far fetched. unless you have a pet grizzly.

grizzly was awesome in 1.09 because one of which he had an itd attack. blizzard deprived grizzlies of that in 1.10.
