Does the "Shoots Magic Arrows (level 20)" mod of WWS work the same way as the Zon Magic Arrow skill, i.e. does it convert 20% of your phys damage to magic damage? Does it also give the +20 pure damage and the AR bonus? Reason I ask is that I have a hunter druid that is encountering his first PIs: using regular bow attack and carrying virtually zero elemental damage, the PIs fell pretty quick, and I can't tell for certain if it was the WWS or the mercs Crescent Moon or some wierd elemntal aspect of Dire Wolves.

The short answer is yes.

The long answer is you are doing the same damage as a zon using lvl 20 magic arrow with a mundane short siege bow that also has max Critical Strike (here assuming that you are in the early stages of Hell and therefore around lvl 70 = 70% Deadly Strike).

Chances are the Crescent Moon is helping out a fair bit too.

Well ok maybe not a mundane short siege bow, maybe a low range cruel one.

Don't forget, that when the Amp on the WWS triggers, pretty much all PI gets removed..and the normal Physical damage is delivered. WWS kills even stoneskin, PI bosses in a fairly quick space of time (unless you get 8 player games of course)

not to mention good resists and fast attacks (2 shaels, shael/nef, 40/15 jewels). Go WWS! w00t!

Does this mean that the magical arrow property will stack on top of a Zon's Magic Arrow skill?

e.g. does a zon with skill level 20 in Magic Arrow using WWS have an equivalent of a slvl 40 magic arrow?

confused...

No. The magic arrow from WWS will come out if you select normal attack, the level of your amazons magic arrow will come out if you select that skill, there is no way to stack them.

Is it my imagination or does AMP from the WWS still display on some super Unique monsters that have physical immunity. I see it come off when with AMP casts on regular immune monsters. It must be a display bug because even though it still displays physical immune, the life comes down as though physical immune is removed.

im not sure about the display bug thing but iirc, if you cast a amp damage spell (either with necro skill or items that gives chance to cast), the physical immunity of the monster would be removed for the duration of the amp spell.

Many bosses and stone skin monsters that are also physical immune (like ghosts) have too much physical resists for amp to remove the immunity. If you're killing them, it's from magic damage.

amp doesn't remove PI it cancels it out by multiplying your dmg, if they have a lot of PI then you still need mg dmg

IIRC Amp makes the monsters physical resist -100% thus takign more dmg,and removing PI.Not just multiplying your dmg.

EDIT:Didn't notice Gen's post. My Pure Strafer kills Stone Skin/PI Ghost Boss packs easily.Amp from Atma's,or decrep from Merc kills em quick enough

edit: previous post. I meant the display of the Physical Immune is removed and not remove the PI status plus do double damage to the monster. That would be too overpowered, wouldn't it? :) And yes, with stone skin, what is essentially doing the kill is some physical, magic and other sources of damage from your charms.
