how much mf to gt good drops from baal?

i do him quite a bit with 540 mf and he drops like nothing decent, best item so far was 28 maras and a aracnid mesh in like 200 runs, i mean wtf

Wear as much mf% as you possibly can when MF running

Unless:
a: it gets you killed
b: it slows your killing down

then, kill baal/pindle/eldritch/shenk/meph/and run the pits a trillion times.
if you still havent gotten some good drops its time to complain!

540 is more than enough. Baal can drop good stuff even with no MF, just less often. 200 runs is hardly anything in MF terms.

The key to MFing is how fast you can kill him. You want to increase your good drop per hour. You can do that by making more of your drops good (more MF), or just getting more drops per hour altogether (more kill speed). Diminishing returns on MF means that once you get high MF, adding more doesn't help you as much as increasing your kill speed would. It's a balance you have to find.

That is true, the more means the better but not sacrificing killing speed.

Find your happy medium. Honest in my opinon I would rather find superior 3 socket armors. Which is shear luck, let me know if I am wrong.

Personelly, my hammerdin has around 300 % mf and it's plenty enough. I have found a crap load of uniques and such but like someone said it's matter of persistance. Do runs over runs over runs......


Another good spot for mfing is the Chaos Sanctuary. At least it's been a lucky spot for me.

Uhh, let me clarify this. It is +100% chance, as in, if you had .5% without MF, you now have 1% with MF. 200% does not give you a 100% chance to find a unique.

This is true, however, after about 300%, you may be best amping up your killing power, unless you are one of the lucky ones to get 450+ WITH your killing gear.
