OK so the zon forum probably isn't the best place to ask this, but anyway:
What class (or subclass) would make the best use of this new runeword?
Wind
SUR + EL
2soc Melee Weapons
10% Chance To Cast Level 9 Tornado On Striking
+20% Faster Run/Walk
+40% Increased Attack Speed
+15% Faster Hit Recovery
+120-160% Enhanced Damage (varies)
-50% Target Defense
+53 To Attack Rating
Hit Blinds Target
+1 To Light Radius
Level 13 Twister (127 Charges)
Personally I don't like it much, only the ias/-50%TD seem worthwhile, but then again I'm saving my Sur to make Ber. Can anyone convince me otherwise?
I guess it would be usefull for a shapeshift Druid, martial arts Assassin, zealot Pally, or frenzey/concentrate/whirlly Barb. But I can't see myself ever wasting a Sur rune on this...

Or for our purposes all it could be used for is a Spearazon really. But I gotta agree with Chip, why would anyone remotely consider wasting a Sur rune on such a mediocre runeword? These runewords are great but I wish Blizzard would actually think before they release them. It would be nice to see a couple of decent new helm runewords, say a low cost one and a high end one.

My thinking exactly. A Sur for this? bleh. At least Bramble, HoJ and Eternity have mods worthy enough to spend a Sur on.
Some new Helm runewords would be most welcome.
I would almost be tempted to call it Stormlash on Prozac if it was put in a scourge. Still I suppose some assasins MAY find use for it, limited as they are in what they can soc their weapons with.

Guess it can work on a fendazon as well. The mods are good though the damage ED is a little low to make using a sur worthwhile. How does 160%ED compare to all the other unique weapons out there.
Guess its best used on a lightning/frost zealot or an enchantress (ie. builds that do not require pysical damage)

Hmm i think that doom and crescent moon would pretty much kill this runeword for a elezealot.
I thought it might be cool on a FA zon in a mat bow as they usually have trouble getting much ias, even so i would rather use a 2x shael wws (or better yet 2x cold facet).

Its 2 soc MELEE weapons.
If you are gonna spend Sur make a Hand of Justice bow. Its more expensive but MUCH more bang for your buck.
Hand of Justice
4 Socket Weapons
Sur + Cham + Amn + Lo
100% Chance To Cast Level 36 Blaze When You Level-Up
100% Chance To Cast Level 48 Meteor When You Die
Level 16 Holy Fire Aura When Equipped
+33% Increased Attack Speed
+280-330% Enhanced Damage
Ignore Target's Defense
7% Life Stolen Per Hit
-20% To Enemy Fire Resistance
20% Deadly Strike
Hit Blinds Target
Freezes Target +3
Come to think of it, why make Wind at all when this is available?
Because SUR is much cheaper than SUR+CHAM+LO?
that's all i've got...
