With my current equipment I have:

BOTD thunder maul (250%ed to undead)
Laying of hands (350%ed to demons)
and soon to have COH (200%ed to demons/100%ed to undead)

I'll have 550% enhanced damage to demons, and 350% ehanced damage to undead.

My question is how is this applied? When I hit a demon for 15k, am I actually doing 82.5k? I don't pretend to be good at math or the inner workings of this game, but that doesn't seem right to me.

Also, deadly strike, is double damage unless I've messed it up again with crushing blow. So would that 82.5k turn into 165k? I just really want to know how all these things are applied.

I'm probably just tired and hungry and am missing something obvious here, but I'm horribly confused. A link to a good calculator, thread, or FAQ...or any help would be greatly appreciated.

well, the enhanced damage to demons/undead is added to your skill damage, then that total is applied.

say you do +400% damage from skills

You have base 3k damage, which becomes 15k (3 * 5) against animals.

3 * 8.5 = 28.5k against undead.

3 * 10.5 = 31.5k against demons.

Deadly strike is the chance to do double damage, which applies after skill multipliers, so you'd do 30k/57k/63k to animals/undead/demons if you scored a deadly strike.

Crushing blow takes off 1/8th (iirc) of the monsters remaining hp, and is calculated after damage done.

Hopefully someone can confirm/correct this and clear up any questions you still have, cause I'm off to bed

It's almost right , except that CB works before the actual dmg is done in 1.1. :D
