I've been around for a bit and was just curious, does ANYONE use the act III mercenaries? I've seen ALL of the others used at higher levels. Are these guys in act III just total dog meat?

well the cold one used to be hot back in 1.09 cause ppl leech in cows and cold merc freezes them, making it safer.

Have anyone tested that little act 3 merc with caster armor/shield/helmet/weapon in high level? cast rate, resist lower unique tiara etc? ormus robes? liddles? or wall of eyeless, rhyme? that new runeword for shields? what weapon? I dont thing that fello is able to use daggers? but someone said that attack speed helps with that fellos casting speed^^
Have anyone tried?

I saw a post in the Statistics forum a week or so ago involving IAS and mercs. I'd assume FCR for the Act 3 merc would work the same. They stated that IAS helped, but didn't help. IAS increased how often the merc made "decisions" not how fast it attacked. Each decision is whether it will move to a different location or attack a creature.

Cold merc with ormus's :D. Or another one with ormus, eschutas, lidless shield and a skill helm. Possible good dmg?

Well 15% of 600 is about 75 damage so thats what ormus gonna do to him :).
Seriously those mercs have max skill levels of 17 even boosted by 9 (circlet +3 ormus +3 sword +2 shield +1) hes gonna have lvl 26 skills with no synergies and no masteries. I dont think it will kill a fallen in 1 player hell game tbh.

Sometimes I like a challenge..so I am the first to admit that act 3 cold mercs have served my first 1.10 Ladder untwinked PJ/LF amazon well until act 3 hell.

Equipped with Rhyme, Lore, Stealth even :lol:
