Facets and Fire Traps??

I was under the impression that facets didnt work at all with traps. But my freind swears up and down that they do indeed work with fire traps. Fire Bomb more specifically. Can anyone else confirm this?

If it's fireblast he's speaking about, it just might. I noticed that when I kill w/ fireblast I see the red swirl (+15 life after kill from Enigma). When I kill w/ Lit Sentry I don't see it.

fire blast doesn't count as a minion since you actively 'cast' it rather than place it and let it do its own killing (like the sentinel skills) so I believe that facets do work with fire blast but not wake of fire or wake of inferno (since they are laid down)

all traps receive the +damage but the ones you lay down don't get the -resist

Fb does recive the bonus from rainbow facets. It also counts as a fire skill so magies add the +1.

it does hes crazy I had a facet shako and a non facet with the faceted one I had more damage. the - resist doesn't work though

The char display is wrong on may ocasions. And what I heard from people here is that the increase in dmg is only a mere display bug. Which isn't increasing your dmg 1 bit.

It also makes sense that facets don't do anything for your traps. Traps are considered minions. Minions don't wear your equipment. Thus minions don't benefit from your facets.

think about griffons eye. it has -res and +dmg for lightning. put a light facet in your griffons. all it does is make the -res / +dmg a bit more. so your saying griffons wouldn't apply here either?

think about griffons eye. it has -res and +dmg for lightning. put a light facet in your griffons. all it does is make the -res / +dmg a bit more. so your saying griffons wouldn't apply here either?
